#9 OU vs Maryland Eastern Shore 1pm 12/7

Is it just me or does it appear Zya and Aaliyah don’t seem to have very good chemistry with each other?

Today games was very UGLY. I could not believe how we were playing today…
This team still doesn’t have chemistry what so ever and its irritating at this point. I love the combo of Aaliyah and Zya but they do not have no chemistry as well. I hope the chemistry comes together REAL SOON. Another thing. I sure would love for our bench to play a LOT more but they don’t.

Our bench needs the experience and they are not getting the PT they should be getting. IMO

Not sure how much bench time you're after. Brooklyn played 17 minutes almost as many as Beers(19) Caya Smith played 19 and Lofton played 14.

It seems like neither enjoys playing with the other. I think they both want to be the alpha. Neither seem to enjoy making the extra pass which has been a hallmark of JB’s teams.

Pretty pedestrian game. No energy in the building against an inferior opponent. Sitting on the floor, it didn't look like we could have filled the bottom part of the bottom part of the arena if everyone and the band moved down.

Zya & Chavez certainly have work to do to develop better chemistry. Both were hunting shots today instead of getting good looks by moving the ball, IMO.... and neither made the extra pass that was often available. I'm sure the level of competition played a part in the apparent lack of focus. Beers could have scored 35-40 points on this team if she were getting the ball more. The ball wasn't moving as well as it had.

They have prided themselves on being a team with high assists numbers and these last two games, we’re watching two of our point guards hunt for shots and overlook each other…unless they’re forced to pass. It’s clear as day. Both have overlooked the pass ahead to other players so they can score, and end up turning it over. A freshman shooting 25 shots a game inconsistently isn’t impressive to me. Seven turnovers and the most minutes isn’t either. She’s a tremendous player, but she can not win it alone. Every player on this team was a top player in the country. Not one of them look like it right now. Put Payton back on the ball! And let her set Chavez up for a good shot. Payton is almost iced out, unless she creates for herself. The rotation for subs is horrible. Waiting until the last three minutes to put them in and putting them in together. That’s not how it will work in big games. You want chemistry, you better get it now and make some changes. Nobody would have to fight to be alpha, if the precedent was set to make the right play again. If you overlook players for your own shot, then you better make it. A blind man can see the problems in the locker room. Anything said otherwise on tv is smoke and mirrors. I try my best not to complain, but seeing it in person was bad.

I say the subs only because we will have to play them! We only have 11. And brought no veteran in from the portal. I hope they rethink that this year.

Im talking about in General. Not in this game particularly. In this game Caya and Brooklyn got a lot of minutes. There have been a couple of games I felt the bench could have been just bench players playing instead of the starters.

They wait until certain players have enough points. They did it tonight. What does that matter in game like this? I’d rather develop the inexperienced ones, and not risk a starter getting an injury. No way sisters should have played more than 25 minutes this game. We need them!

EXACTLY my point… Especially with us not even having a experienced bench, hell barely a bench in general. Like it gets to the point to where I start questioning… You said in a post game interview you wanted these freshman’s to be playing like they have been in college for a couple years by SEC play and some are barely are even getting minutes. The only one that is getting the minutes right now is Brooklyn and at times Caya gets a lot of minutes. But Keziah and Emma doesn’t really play much at all if they do its rare. I want at least 3 or 4 players decently ready for SEC play by conference play but Idk if I even see 3 rn. I think Caya will be ok with it being her 2nd year but Keziah and Emma are not playing much at all in some games. Brooklyn will be really only one that will be somewhat ready since she is the only one that seems to be getting the most minutes off the bench.

Like I would think we need to start trying to develop them in games against teams that are a little easier. We don’t have much games left until conference play starts.

Anyways Im just a fan, I should have kept my thoughts to myself but I had to let this be known.

Taking too many tough shots early instead of looking for better shots. UConn, South
carolina and LSU doesn't do that.

7 TO's by Chavez. Great player but at times still trying to do too much. Frosh shoiwing up at times.

Still not convinced we are a top 10 team yet. Won't be untill I see more ball and player movement

Good comments. I was struck by the number of times Chavez dribbled down the court and jacked up a 3 pointer without looking to see if any of her teammates might have been open for a better shot. Not a recipe for success when SEC play starts.
