Women’s basketball coach Sherri Coale was extended through 2021

that was in an article dated June 2016.

Looks like average attendance is around 3200 for Big XII. Connecticut game brought in 5800 fans. I would suspect many purchase their season tickets whether they go or not.

All the womens BB scholarships are/were endowed (are they still?), which is a huge chunk of money.

There MAY have been 700 butts in seats the other day Maybe. And even if they are endowed this program with her Massive salary is losing about 2 million per year (salaries recruiting travel for the team etc etc etc). We can get 5 wins per year for a LOT less than that

Those numbers are for tickets sold. Actual attendance has been 500-1,500 max except for the UConn game. For years OU published in their box score attendance (tickets sold) and estimated attendance (tickets scanned) and still do for the MBB games. OU quit doing that for the WBB games about 2-2.5 years ago. I am almost certain because of the rapidly declining attendance. Maybe even at Sherri's request.
