Actual Congrats to the Seniors

Feel free to criticize players in other threads, but I wanted an actual congratulations thread to celebrate how much they've accomplished.

In my opinion, this group of players have brought OU basketball back to national relevance over their careers. Now it looks like we will be a very high seed capable of making a deep tournament run. On top of a sweet sixteen and several weeks at number 1, these players have accomplished a lot.

Yes I'm with you MNSooner. I think with their elevation of the program is going to come disappointment when this team doesn't fulfill what we know they are capable of doing. But none of that comes unless these three seniors come to this program and elevate us to somewhere I wasn't sure we'd be back to ever again. It's easy to forget where we were when LK came in and when Buddy et al came to this program... They came not because who we were then, but who we could become... They saw a vision many of us could never have imagined and executed it! To Buddy, Isaiah & Spangs: we say thank you for all your hard work... We are proud to cheer you on and you have represented the Sooner name well! Congrats!!! Now... Go get us that Natty!

I agree.....These Seniors have made this year so much fun.....They are a fun group to watch, and Spangler battles so hard at the post every night....I paid special attention to Spanglers play tonight, and I'm just saying, we will miss him next year. Actually we will miss them all....Thanks for the memories, guys!!! Appreciate the effort these guys bring every game.

5 years ago I was just wishing for respectable teams. As freshman (minus Walker), they were a part of the team that brought us back to the NCAA. Even then I couldn't believe we'd have a legitimate contender and a possible NPOY. It's been a wild run and it has meant a lot to me as someone who has been a fan in the good times and the bad. I won't forget them.

This group brought our program back from the abyss and for that as Sooner BBall fans we should all be thankful - great group of guys and a great senior season for all of em.

Never seen a player in any sport get that much better from freshman to senior year as Buddy. Really impressive stuff.

Cousins and Spangler have been integral pieces of this turnaround in their own right, and Dijynil Walker has had the perfect mentality and attitude for a bench player and has brought us solid if not spectacular minutes for two seasons.

I've been watching OU basketball since TMac's days and I don't think there is any group of Seniors that has improved more over the course of their careers than this group. I wouldn't trade them for any other group in the country.

This group not only brought us back to basketball relevance, they also represented our University as great ambassadors. Could you imagine the positive press and national attention we have enjoyed this year without these hard working young men? On the court and off, these guys excelled. Exactly. These guys have put us back on the map and theyve had their ups and downs this season. Ive been critical at them in times to but next year will b alot harder for us. Congrats seniors. Good group of guys
