I took Blake Griffin in round 3 of my fantasy draft. Just sayin.

Griffin is an energy player. Think Joakim Noah, only with ball skills. The Clippers don't have to run plays for Griffin; he'll get his points, and lots of them, in the flow of the game.

Think young Karl Malone, only with a bit more athleticism, and maybe missing the mean streak (although we might see that emerge).

Yeah, to put him ahead of Gasol is ridiculous. Even Odom might be a stretch right now.

The fact that he mentioned Hakeem Olajuwon and Griffin's defense in the same paragraph shows you this guy is off his rocker.

Griffin is a phenomenal talent and should be a perennial All Star but we should probably wait till he plays a regular season game before we start ranking him ahead of current All Stars.

I love Blake, but Gasol would score on him all night. He needs to prove himself in the league for a few years before he could even be considered in that comparison.

From what I have seen of Blake in pre season he would **** all over Gasol on both ends of the court.

He has been dominant. Gasol is a nice finesse player but he does not have 1/5 of Blakes power and speed.

You guys are out of your mind. I love Blake Griffin like the next guy but to say he's already better than Gasol is nuts. Will/Would he give Gasol problems? Of course, but there is no chance in hades that Griffin has of guarding Gasol in the post. We're talking about a guy who has averaged 20, 10, and 4 in the PLAYOFFS the last 2 years leading his team to the Finals.

Gasol is better right now. But I think Griffin is on his way to being a star. Gasol is a proven player and one of the top inside players in the league. Griffin is a rookie.

Exactly, they are really different as players so it's hard to compare but Gasol has had a terrific career.

I think Griffin has the chance to be a better player long term but Gasol is such a well rounded player. One of the best passing big men you'll ever see.

Pau Gasol is not just one of the best players in the league, he is one of the best in the world. You could argue that Pau and Dirk are the best forwards in the world.

Blake is flashier and athletic, but there are lots of more athletic guys who arent as good as Gasol.

Blake Griffin is head and shoulders above Gasol. He is a leading man while Gasol is supporting cast. In Blake's rookie year he will post better stats than Gasol's career averages in every important category.

It is obvious to distinguish who has the NBA package and has watched Blake play and who is just guessing. Of course it's nothing new, the people talking down Blake did not attend OU and are always talking down the Sooners.

Dude, it's hard to take you seriously with comments like this. I love Blake's game and think he will be an animal in the league for many years to come (barring injuries) BUT....to say he is better than Gasol and that he will post better stats in every category is simply ridiculous. First off, Blake does not have one of the top 10 players to ever play the game on his team..thus he doesn't have to share scoring opportunites with a guy who is gonna average 30.

Regardless of that small fact, Blake is more phsysical than Pau..but that's abou it. Pau is a proven player not only in the NBA but globally. You could argue he is the best post scorer in the WORLD. You may not like him..but if you don't agree with that or at least he is in the conversation..then you don't know basketball. I don't know how much they will match up when the teams meet..but my $ is on Gasol every time he gets the ball down low. He will either score or get fouled. Book it.

Blake has yet to play 1 second in a real NBA game, yet some of you are annointing him as the best post in the league!!! Sad....really.

LOL on using preseason stats to compare guys to an established player. Gasol LED Memphis to the playoffs 3 STRAIGHT YEARS!! He wasn't supporting cast he was the star player! Those averages are terrific for career averages.

Of course who is surprised by boca's ridiculous assertions? Not this guy.:facepalm
