Allen and Hardrick

Just curious how many people hear have seen Hardrick play?

That is your answer.

Seems kind of early to write off a guy after one year. Shouldn't we give him one offseason to see if he can improve?

I never thought either one of these guys were going to transfer. The Orlando to UCO rumor was posted on here by one guy and everybody just ran with it. He is a senior. He will be one of our only big men. Ryan Wright barely played and then got to play a major role this year. I wouldnt be surprised to see Orlando finish out his career playing 20+ minutes a game as a senior.

As for Hardrick, it's almost like everybody on this board just wants to run him off and really wish that talk would stop. As a HS recruit, he committed early because he wanted to go here. Then he came to every game for 3 years and supported the Sooners. Now he is part of the team and is one of the few Sooners that has gotten into no trouble since he got here. People are calling him a wasted scholarship and saying he should transfer, but he career has barely started. He could very easily put on some bulk and end up being a guy that comes of the bench, plays defense and rebounds and scores an occasional basket. I hate to run a kid off that has done nothing wrong to this point. Plus, we are so lacking for people over 6'6, every forward/center that we run off makes it that much harder to have a decent practice.

Lets just give these two guys a chance.

No offense but that "rumor" was posted by me and a couple of others on the board and it was no rumor trust me. He was transferring because his girlfriend and he just had a baby and the gf was attending UCO and he was going to transfer to be closer to her and the baby. Big O wants to be a Sooner and graduate as a Sooner so I'm quite sure he is staying now but make no mistake he had all but filled out the transfer papers to UCO after the baby was born. Orlando is a great guy, with great character. He attends church two to three times a week if he can. He is one of the hardest working players in practice, outside of Cade, and that alone will keep him on scholarship. He had some problems last year that I won't divulge but it affected his playing time. Those problems have been taken care of and I look to see him get some good playing time next year, depending on our recruits of course.

Maybe after midnight when the carriage turns into a pumpkin (or did it already?)
