Had 13 points in a game where Doolittle had 8 and Reaves continued to be unable to hit the broad side of the barn.

Game ball to Alondes, no doubt.

He should be starting...

What's nice to see as well is that a lot of his shots are hitting nothing but net. That is the sign of a naturally good shooter. He just needed some confidence, and now it looks like he has it. With Reaves missing open jump shots again and again, we're going to need Williams to keep playing well.

He has really picked it up, I still think he could be a good rebounder.

Great to see Alondes having a terrific game today -- let's hope he can keep it rolling.

been a huge lift. big steal and flush today, timely 3s against baylor. needs more pt and we might see bigger flashes on defense. best way to stay on the floor.

He was arguably the worst player on the team (with minutes) thru the first 17 games of the season.

I do like his game but it clearly wasn’t working, towards team success

I think Williams should be playing more as well! Offensively he gives us a freak athlete that can get to the rim and he's hitting outside shots right now. Kuath I feel like should also be playing more. Problem with both of these guys is defense. They are both a liability on that end of the court.

Alondes has a very short leash, and Reaves has the longest leash in college basketball.

Reaves did get pulled 3 minutes in the game after his pull up jumper. I thought he played well other than 3 shots & the transition turnover. He moved the ball better, played solid defense, and got in the lane & made good decisions.

A Will is a nice player who will only get better as he plays more ... he’s athletic, he’s got a D1 body, and he can score ....

Reaves plays very good team D and good d overall

williams plays terrible team d

It was refreshing to watch williams crush that breakaway dunk

We don't win Saturday without Williams' lift. I thought it was awesome win MSU called timeout, Harmon ran all the way out to midcourt to chest-bump him. He needs more quality minutes like that to get his confidence and mind right for this level of play because he has what he needs physically.

I would love to see him in the lineup more with Harmon and Reaves on the bench. Reaves has got to figure out to play within himself and not press to do so much. I watched a clip on TOS that said his favorite player was Kobe and talked about certain plays he remembers and it makes sense in the way he plays. Not saying this just in the wake of yesterday's tragedy, but Austin thinks he is Kobe or Jordan but is nowhere near that level. He needs to just focus on being the best Austin Reaves, not someone he is not, because a best Austin Reaves can be a player to really help us. That Austin Reaves, along with Harmon that seems to be playing better, and the Williams we've seen the last week or so can give us a solid guard lineup.

I think you're presuming a bit much there. Harmon also said Kobe was his inspiration -- Kenneth Murray said Kobe was his favorite athlete ever, and Baker Mayfield said K was his idol. I don't think any of those players think they're Kobe/Jordan level basketballs players (obviously not K9 or Baker) and yet they said things about him very similar to Reaves' remarks.

I agree you can admire an athlete and have them as your favorite without mimicking their game. And maybe saying he tries to be Kobe JUST on the interview would be a stretch. But after watching him for 20 games, I base my statement on his play, not his interview.

My point was is he tries to play a lot more like Kobe, or a superstar he is not, more than being Austin Reaves. We need him to play like Austin Reaves because he is pretty solid. He doesn't need to be THE superstar.

No secret Buddy's favorite player was Kobe, but I never recall him doing no-look passes to no one on a fast break during crunch time, or double-clutch a jump shot at the elbow instead of passing, or drive the lane ignoring open teammates and fling yourself into someone trying to draw a foul. Forget shot selection, these are things Reaves does regularly and some of it, every game.

I just want him to be Austin Reaves and not force the game of someone else.

And you are another who needs to post here more often and we'll talk golf somewhere else (it went in and it came out).
