#Sooners scoring on just about every possession now. Up 90-77 with 4:39 left.

Woodard with another 3, but scorer gives him a 4-pointer. He'll take it. #Sooners up 98-81 with 3:06 to go.

I don't even know what a four-pointer is!

Man... Wish we could score like this during the year! Wonder if these Gent dudes are a bunch of cement-shoed stiffs... HAHA

Spangler's third dunk gives #Sooners 100 points. Coach @LonKruger's teams didn't do that in his first 2 years of real games. Now 102-81.

FINAL SCORE: #Sooners 102, Ghent Hawks 81. OU outscored them 28-15 in 4th. We'll provide stats later. Team plays again tmrrw at 1:30 pm CT.

Nice first game. Doesn't really matter the level of competition, we played a lot of young guys, two true freshman, and did so after traveling out of the country. Couldn't have asked for much more.

If Woodard is going to be able to get us 10 points a game, and Booker is going to knock down open shots, we're going to be a very solid team this year.

I don't pretend to know good our opponents were today -- probably not very -- but they're professionals, they are used to playing together and, I assume, are older, more mature players.

So they are surely at least as good as the teams we generally play in our November exhibition games, right? And we came out of the gate strong and won going away, with all those seniors gone and a slew of new guys seeing their first action after only a few practices.

So for all those reasons, even allowing for the possibility that today's opponent wasn't a very talented team, I'm very excited about this win. Great to see JW and Booker starting strong and Spangler and Cam coming up big.
