#2 player in country Myles Turner just picked Texas, which means they will likely be a co-favorite with KU in the Big 12.

Y'alls thoughts?

Sucks for us, for sure. Definitely bumps UT above us, on paper, I think. Not sure I'm ready to pick them to beat KU just yet, but they'll have a shot.

My thoughts too. They definitely have the length, which could be a problem for us unless McNeace really is 6'10" and makes an unlikely immediate impact

Count me as jealous. Why can't we have a late-committing top 10 pick?

Thank God he picked Texas. The KU people were all having the same wet dream today. The radio stations were already salivating over next year's lineup.

They were doing the same thing in Wichita. Made me sick.

BUT, as soon as Turner picked UT, did you notice how he became a lesser player? He went from the guy who is the next best thing, to meh, he couldn't have added much to our roster anyways... typical squawks

this doesn't help texas nearly as much as it would have helped KU ..

Texas already had a good post in Ridley Didley D and a solid backup in Ibeh, and neither one of those guys can really play the 4 so it will kind of create a logjam for playing time. I guess they could throw 2 of them out there at the same time and try to dominate the paint and play zone D.

this is what is was talking about as well .. is turner better than ridley ..(maybe) .. is he tons better than ridley right away doubtfull ...

and texas will have a very hard time playing them both at the same time

So Wichita has a strong KU base? Ugh.

You would have thought that it never happened. The 610 guys were dreaming about how everyone would get enough playing time and then all of a sudden it was forgotten. I was going to listen to the presser but it was late and I couldn't stomach listening to those hacks anymore.

It would have sucked had he picked KU. That would have given them something like 3 of the top 9.

Eh. UT has a pretty loaded frontcourt already -- unless someone like Croaker takes a big leap and de-centralizes their scoring, Turner might wind up in the Isaiah Austin / "big time HS talent in a crowded rotation underwhelms" spot in next year's Big XII.

I like the player. Who knows how well he slots in with Barnes' rotations.
