Kim Anderson seems like a good guy...got his dream job coaching at his alma mater. But it obviously did not work out. I'm wondering who else may get the axe. I'm thinking there will be coaching changes at Washington, LSU and maybe even Connecticut. Ollie is not going to be able to live forever on three amazing weeks.

I don't see any firings in the Big XII, especially after all the changes last year. Who else do you think may get sent packing?

I would say Weber's seat is the warmest in the Big XII, but I see him getting one more year.

I'm interested to see how the UW situation plays out. I don't think they will fire Romar because of his incoming recruiting class. If they do, the Michael Porter Jr fallout could be interesting.

You're right...don't know why I forgot about him. Had KSU lost to TCU, they would have been off the bubble. As it stands, they're squarely on it. If he has a good class coming in, he may very well get one more year even if they don't make the Dance. I don't think the KSU fans are particularly happy with him, but the guy can coach. Recruiting has always been his Achilles, so we'll know soon enough how this plays out.

Shaka's also in the same seat as Weber. If he doesn't make thendancd next season I'm sure he's gone.

Texas went to NCAAs last year. So unless Texas is like 10-21 next year I doubt Smart gets fired.

Two years without making the tournament with multiple McDonald's All-Americans on the roster would be unacceptable anywhere. Plus, he was one of Patterson's guys and Patterson is long gone. I'm sure Perrin wouldn't mind getting his own guy in there.

Wasn't there some rumors going around a few weeks ago that Romar was possibly going to go to Mizzou?

The only way Weber returns is if they win a game in KC and make the dance. That's going to be a tall order for them. Baylor's zone is going to be tough for KSU who has issues scoring, especially hitting outside shots.

KSU fans want him gone so if he returns there may be a lynching. Tim Jankovich is a name I'm hearing since he's a KSU alum and coached with both Bill Self and Larry Brown.

Anderson had no chance to succeed at MU after Haith left it in shambles. Anderson is a decent coach but he's not a miracle worker or a magician which is what they needed. Haith is continuing his pillaging of basketball programs at Tulsa. He's a terrible coach.

Mizzou may be the cellar dweller of the SEC in both football and basketball for a long long time. Especially after the scandal broke this week about the tutor who was taking tests for athletes because she was made to feel she had to by the academic coordinators for both mens football and basketball.

I don't see any big name coach going to Mizzou, as that situation is toxic.

What happened to that Mizzou fan who used to post here back when they were still in the Big XII. Wonder if he is still so smug?

Anyway, Weber should be gone. LSU guy is likely gone. Maybe they give Romar another year just so they don't lose the #1 recruit in the country? I could see Tom Crean being fired at Indiana. I don't think Ollie gets fired, they made the dance and won a game last season. Shaka needs a big year next year.

Yes, Crean is another guy who slipped my mind. I'm not sure he survives even if Indiana makes the Dance.

I figured they'd give him next year with that group. Maybe they will figure a good coach will do better with them. There are some good pieces on their team.
