A question for the OUHoops forum:

I am considering subscribing to SoonerSports.com to be able to watch the softball games that will not be covered by Fox or ESPN channels, but since I have never subscribed to SS.com before, I have a question for the board:

On the SoonerSports.com softball schedule, some of the games show SoonerSportsTV indicating that they'll be streamed. Others, like the Mercer game, do not show SoonerSportsTV, but over on the right side of the Mercer game it shows Watch - Listen - Live Stats. So, does "Watch" indicate that SoonerSports will stream the game? Are all the games that are thus listed as either "Watch" or "SoonerSportsTV" eligible for subscribers to view via SoonerSports.com?
I figure that some of you are subscribers and can clear this up for me before I decide to subscribe? Thanks in advance...

It’s my understanding, at least with basketball games, that ONLY games that say “SoonerSportsTV” are available to be streamed with a SoonerSports subscription. I’m not sure what the “Watch” link will send you to for other games. I would guess it would direct you to FloSoftball.com or another site that is streaming it.

No, it takes you to the SoonerSportstv page if you click on “Watch”. I don’t know why they have Watch sometimes and SoonerSportstv other times, but it seems to be the same. We watched all the games last week and it only said Watch, too. You do have to go back to the SoonerSportstv page after each game, though, because they are listed separately. I really recommend getting it if you enjoy watching Softball. It is MUCH better video than Flosports.

I have had SoonerSportstv since the beginning, you will always get highlights of the different sports. Just the other day I watched the entire softball game from start to finish, I get a lot of the softball games (not all). The main reason I got it to start with was to watch the women's basketball games but now who cares, I don't even watch the highlights.

Keep in mind there are other Sooner sports shown on SStv I think I pay around $10 a month and I'm ok with that.

Thanks for the replies. I kinda thought that Watch and SoonerSportsTV both allowed the subscriber to stream it, but wanted to confirm before I subscribed. And I agree with OUALUMinTX that the FloSoftball didn't do a great job of streaming, especially for the amount that they charge ($30/mo) compared to $10 for SSTV.

I will be subscribing to SSTV. The Sooner softballers will have a much tougher time this year compared to previous years, but it should be fun to watch all of these young players mature and develop. I will be pleasantly surprised if we make it to OKC this year, what with pitching problems and the injuries. I do think that we have a fairly good chance to extend our streak of conference championships, though...

How did it go yesterday? Hope you didn’t have any problems.

Yes, Blackwell, let us know how it goes. If I am going to be holed up trying to avoid the coronavirus I may as well subscribe to it if it works well and has all or most of the games.

Does it include the baseball games ?

Looking at the baseball schedule on SoonerSports.com, it looks like most of the home games are either on TV or shown on SoonerSports.com as premium content.
