I think there is a prettry reasonable chance the draft goes:

1. Davis from Kentucky
2. PJIII
3. Q. Miller

Lets just hope he leaves early. Baylor didn't exactly impress me tonight with Acy, Jones, Miller and P. Jones. If those guys are all gone, they are not going to have much of a team.

Miller will be back...and yes he will be a Top 10 pick when he comes out.

Quincy Miller. Yeah Right.

Perry Jones for sure though.

You watch the Missouri game? That kid is an absolute freak. A 6'10" guy who can play inside and out. He's obviously not as good, but his game is a lot like KD.

First, I am a bitter loser, yes :)

Now, let me say what I was griping constantly about last night: Baylor is like a bad NBA team. They are loaded with talent. They had the speed, the shooting and they're taller. But they are sooooooooooo undisciplined and lost out there last night. It was like they decided to run full-speed without any gameplan except "durrrr... time to shoot a three I guess" and it goes in

That Baylor coach must be an AAU runner, because I don't know how else you could assemble that much talent with that level of incompetence from the top. Yes, I blame coaching for not having actual plays drawn up other than "durr, three shooting time!"

Disagree...Miller will be back, combine him with Pierre, Heslip, Jefferson and Franklin...that is a pretty solid nucleus. Person they will miss the most is Acy.

Does it matter who goes or who stays? Or how undisciplined Baylor is? They recruit so well that they will still floor an extremely talented team.

Miller had a very good game against Missouri, but he's been inconsistent this year. He doesn't have the explosion that he had pre-ACL injury. I hear he plans on returning at least another year maybe two.

Miller, Jones and Isaiah Austin are all exceptional students. Miller is pre-med and pulled down a 3.5 his first semester. Perry Jones is on track to graduate sometime in his junior year. That is the track Drew and company are trying to sell Miller and Austin on. Play against great talent in practice and the Big12. Be a part of an NBA style offense that tries to take advantage of mismatches each night. Now, I think the NBA temptation will be too great for Perry after this year. Mentally he could use another year but physically he is ready.

To the untrained eye, the offense doesn't look that "organized". It is a similar style to what Calipari runs at Kentucky- Dribble, Drive, Motion. But it is appealing to recruits because it allows freedom and focuses on mismatches like they do in the NBA. There was a recent article in The Sporting News on it. Baylor's issues haven't been on the offensive end. According to KenPom, they have had top 20 offenses for 4 out of the last 5 years (last year without a competent PG being the exception).

That's impressive. You don't usually associate college hoops stars with intelligence. (See Kemba Walker, and finishing his first whole book sometime at the end of his 3rd year of college).

DFW, take this opinion for what it's worth, which is probably nothing. Baylor has some very flashy and impressive athletes. To my un-educated eye, it appears that as long as Baylor can 'out-athlete' people, they are in great shape. But, when they meet up with a team with similar athletes they lose because of the coaching - x's and o'x - mismatch. I didn't get to see last night's game but when you compare Baylor's athletes to ours this season, we come out on the short end in almost - if not every - position. But from what I read, the game was fairly close until the last few minutes when Baylor outscored us something like 13 - 5. On paper, that game shouldn't have been that close..

It will be interesting to see what happens as the year plays out and in the big dance.

If Baylor's offense is designed to take advantage of mismatches, why does Perry Jones so rarely get the ball inside? That's an automatic mismatch against all but maybe five teams in the country.

FWIW, Miller was guarded by guys several inches shorter for most of the Mizzou game. Putting up huge scoring numbers while being defended by shooting guards isn't necessarily indicative of his future at the next level (although I do think he'll be drafted high and will be a good pro).

Perry Jones is a small forward. If you watch Baylor, they try to run plays for him on the blocks to start every game and coming out of timeouts. But his tendency is he is not that comfortable playing with his back to the basket. Baylor has a glaring weakness on their roster in that they have 3 guys who are really small forwards playing down low- Miller, Jones, Jones. And 2 guys playing the 4 that are undersized or don't have enough weight to them- Acy (6'7") and Jefferson (210 lbs).

They really needed a Thomas Gipson type to round out their roster. Or some kind of banger in the middle like they had with Lomers.

So they try to encourage Perry to go down low. He's just a lot more effective facing up. He tends to get offensive fouls and turnovers when he tries to "think" too much about his post game. Just not natural for him like it is Robinson and Ratliffe and even Fitzgerald.

they need better guards. and more of them. they've got one guy who is god, but a turnover machine, one that can't do anything but shoot and one that can't do anything but defend.

i don't know why drew took the cal transfer. he's still as bad as i remember from his freshman year. a selfish, stupid player.
