Not an intelligent group of KU fans, that's for sure. Did you remind them that OU lost their three best players, 4 starters and 5 rotation players altogether... from a team that was a one-and-done #10 seed? I'm well-aware KU lost most of their top players as well, but they had the #2 rated recruiting class in America behind Kentucky...ours didn't sniff the top 25.

I don't recall what KU lost but OU lost three starters and five of their top 7 or 8 players depending how you count. M'Baye, Osby, Fitzgerald, Grooms and Pledger are all gone. That was major minutes from last years team.

All 5 starters from last years' team (McLemore, Withey, Releford, Johnson, & Young). I wouldn't have been upset had Self won it because of that, but it's not the slam dunk they're making it out to be IMO, because they're totally overlooking the status of the job itself in the pantheon of college basketball. If you're a half step above Bozo the Clown (& Self is WAY above that, no doubt), you can recruit well to KU.

The KU fans that I talked to today thought that Kruger was robbed (and OU as a whole was robbed being our players were under-rated too). But I would not have had a problem with Kruger or Self getting it over Barnes.
