Are We Done

Obviously, we would take Bolton if he wanted to come. But if not him, are we done with recruiting for 2016 or is there anyone else we would take?

I ask this because, it seems to me we could use another wing for next year. Odomes, James and McGusty will be there, but it seems to me we could use a 4th wing.

I don't know if Doolittle is a wing. I have read different things. Someone posted that he is 6'8 and reminded them of Artest. This sounds like a 4, not a wing. But, if he can move well enough to play outside, then we would be fine.

Maybe someone familiar with the kid can chime in and tell us his height and whether he has the lateral movement to play outside.

Bolden or bust for high schoolers IMO. Never know when Kruger has a transfer of interest, but that's all after the season

OU will also have Strong and Woodard with two W/PF guys in Doolittle and Buford. Plus Freeman can apparently shoot from outside. I am not sure OU needs more at the wing.

Not sure who will start at the 4/5 spots next year. And out of the names I grouped at the PF spot, I'd say Buford is most likely to spend time at the SF spot next year, if any of them do.

That is 11 players, 2 short of the scholarship limit, and not counting Cole who could be back for his senior season. Looking at that roster, I wouldn't be surprised to see us go after another 2/3 guy, maybe even a JUCO with some experience. And boy are we log-jammed at PF/C if we do get Bolden.

Here's what ouleopard said a few weeks ago in response to the question (prior to the 10/23 weekend):

Curiosity question for you ..... If they had quit recruiting Bolden, are they actively recruiting any other 2016 player besides the ones already committed to OU?

..... They are not actively recruiting any other 16' players

Of course maybe that changes during the 2nd semester and someone falls into our lap. I think they take the scholarship and put it into their pocket for a 2017 recruit if Bolden chooses somewhere else.

Strong will be here for the 2016-2017 (plus Woodard) and 2017-2018 seasons. There's plenty of time to recruit a PG out of the 2017 class.

I didn't expect Bolden to sign early, but tomorrow (Wednesday 11/18) is the last day of the early signing period.
