I have been very dissapointed that Big Puma and Tyler Neal have taken such a dip in minutes. Early in the season, one of our strengths IMO was our depth. I thought we had 10 guys that could contribute. But now Neal, Puma, and Arent rarely play, and Newell obviously doesn't at all. Washington and Blair are basically our bench and they dont give us much.
I liked a lot of things about Capel, but one thing I didnt like was that he wore out his starters by refusing to use his bench. Guys like Washington rarely got a chance to come in and rebound. I know we werent playing anybody in November, but Kruger went 10 deep most nights and guys like Fitzgerald were fresh. Now his rotation is almost exactly like Capels except he plays Grooms 38 mins per game. I dont like anything about it. Not only does it burn out your players, but it's obviously not working.
Glad to see Neal get a chance and make some shots last night. But I do agree, Puma should get a shot. It's his last shot and he's done some positive things when he's had a chance both last year and this year.
