We did guard the free throw line pretty well though, they only shot 52%.
I am afraid this is a last place team in the Big 12. The program has returned to Sherri's first year. It has gone full cycle. It is hard to believe but Arkansas is not a good team but OU is a lot worse. OU didn't have an assist until maybe 8 minutes to go. It is nothing but one on one basketball.
I don't think much of Arkansas, but they are #25, and we are on the road.
syb,do you think the program is heading in the right direction under Coach Coale?
I think it is headed in the best possible direction given the situation.
I suspect that Sherri is sending a message to Kay Kay that if you aren't going to learn, we have freshmen who would love the opportunity. We aren't going anywhere if Kay Kay keeps playing like she has been. Give the kids a chance to learn.
I was most disappointed in Sharane. This was a setup for her to drive, and she really didn't.
The officials didn't help us. Typical sequence: they called a blocking foul on Gabbi when she was perfectly still, as the announcers noticed. Then, they called a charge on Carter when her opponent was moving beside her to get in front of her. There were a couple of bad calls that went against Arkansas, but it was obvious that this game was in Little Rock.
Not a good performance. I am most disappointed that we kept trying to do what we don't do well, go into the middle. Sharane makes at least two turnovers per game trying to bounce it to the center. We attempted very few outside shots, and we do that well. We only shot 31%, and most of that was missed interior shots.
Glad this road trip is over. Now, will Kay Kay get any message at all?
Some sanity here.here is my thought. Given there is clearly no vocal leader we are doing everything we can to play ball games. I think this team looks better than last year, the thing is we are really young. I don't know if it was jitters for the team or that of pressure. Or even the freshman having issues transitioning to the college game while taking college classes and experiencing being away from home. I don't think this team will win the confrence even, we not even make the ncaa tourney. But think about the way that college basketball is right now. It is All over the place. You look at a team like Penn State who went 24-8 and was 1st in the confrence who is now 3-8. It is somethng every team will most likely go through. Is it time for Sherri to go? I don't think so. Should she consider changing her staff? Maybe. Someone on the team needs to step up.
Go worry about the 9-3, 8-4. There is something that can easily be done about that. Replace Sherri, and you have zilch. If you want any chance to improve, you look at the type of commitment that A&M, Texas, and Baylor made to their programs. Remember that Texas still hasn't done that much, and A&M was a one-shot wonder.Syb, and whose fault is it that this program is now going only in the best possible direction given the situation? It isn't a very good direction right now. End of season could be different.
Who is/who are those responsible for this mess?
Answer No. 1: Sherri Coale
Answer No. 2: assist. Coaches
Answer No. 3: players who aren't good enough.
I'm tired of paying $10 million per year for 9-3 and 8-4.
I'm also tired of paying $1-2 million a year for what I'm seeing on the court the last 2 seasons.

I never said Sherri should be fired, Syb, I asked who you think is responsible for this and you still don't answer, you change the direction of the conversation.
I don't want Sherri fired I want her to do her damn job better.
