Trae Young did not play well against a bigger point guard. Something that will happen almost every game in the NBA. Maybe he sees it as a sign to come back 1 more year?

the only reason he didn't play well...is because he was continually double teamed...denied the ball. NBA he will have "help" on the court...NBA can't leave guys open to double him. He'd get by the bigger guards only to run into 2 other guys collapsing to stop him from penetrating. KNOWING his options to pass to are limited. Won't happen in the NBA.

Considering there were 50 scouts there..to see him and Sexton pretty sure he's gone.

He's a fit for the nba...

this Bama game was the first one where I really felt like Trae completely outclassed his teammates in terms of doing things that they just weren't good enough to complete for him. He missed so many assists on amazing passes because our other players couldnt finish. To me this is the biggest sign that he needs to go. He deserves to have teammates who can keep up with his game.

Had a couple moments where he played too much hero ball but for the most part I thought he was great

Yes, could’ve easily had 15 assists

Sexton is a great athlete and Trae doesn’t have his size and jumping ability but Sexton isn’t even close when it comes to vision and shooting ability.

Need to stop hoping Trae comes back - he's giving us one of the best years ever by an OU player and he'll make a great pro.

Reason why he had some issues were the refs were allowing Alabama to continually grab and hold him to deny him the ball.

Unfortunately basketball has evolved to a contact sport not the finesse sport it was designed to be. That transition works against Trae as a basketball player.

The irony is the physicality is designed to allow teams to score more points but in Trae's case it is legalized mauling that restricts scoring. If you can imagine what the physicality is going to be at the next level perhaps we can see why Trae might consider another year at OU to become more physically capable of withstanding the physical pressure for an 82 game schedule.

I know I have my fingers crossed.

I think Trae is just officiated differently than everyone else in college basketball. I think officials are tired of his acting/playing like a "NBA guy" and in a way showing them up. SO they just won't call the same fouls. The other night D Graham from Kansas got touch fouls/hand check calls that Trae never gets. It's kind of frustrating to watch. He should be shooting 10-12 free throws every game if not more.

Obviously it would be great for us as fans if he decides to come back, but people need to just admit that the reasons for wanting him to do so are selfish ... i.e., fans want to watch him play for another year and want to see the team have the best possible chance of success next season. If his season finishes anywhere close to how it has gone to this point, I'm sure Lon and everyone associated with the program would be honest enough to advise him to go. What people seem to forget is that while he would of course improve with another season of college basketball, he would almost certainly improve even more with a season of playing with and against the best players in the world. Let's just enjoy the ride and not try to convince ourselves he might stay every time he has a game when he doesn't go for 30 and 10.

Won't be an issue in the NBA.... Can't really leave anyone open in the NBA and they wont be able to double/triple team him. Also, in the NBA, it's entirely likely that 3-4 other players on the floor can initiate the offense, so he wouldn't be solely relied on for that either.
