SoonerHoops: One more note from today's game: the paid attendance of 13,490 was a Lloyd Noble Center record. Thank you fans! #Sooner

Too bad it took so many KU fans to do it but the OU crowd was very good.

Debbie, think of something else to say. Maybe a positive?

Sorry, punkie. Read everything I said and you will see a positive. You will also see plenty of posts in various threads that commented on the amount of blue in the arena today.

I am very sorry that I did not post the complete party line for you, Comrade.

I saw some empty seats, I think they over sold it because they knew some of the season ticket holders wouldn't show up.

They should sell an unlimited amount of student tickets and let them sit where ever they want when game starts. Season ticket holders will never consistently show up and maybe OU students could fill those seats

The fact that so many season ticket holders couldn't make it to a game against a top-5 Kansas on a Saturday afternoon, in a renaissance year for our program is pretty freaking sad.

it's nice that we drew so many fans, especially since KU was on a two-game losing streak. so, credit where it's due: THANK YOU ku fans for showing up to see OU win :D

I agree with this.

For those of us OU fans/alums who live amongst the gayhawk faithful in the KC area, seeing that many KU fans at an OU home game upsets the stomach.

The "Let's Go Jayhawks" chant got pretty loud, but after a few seconds was drowned out by us. These are the games that I love though. At the end, I stood up in my section and raised my arms to get everyone around me to stand up and they did. Maybe a coincedence, but I felt I made a difference.

I was pretty vocal the whole game, but I wish more people would be too.

The issue I had yesterday was that they took the normal surplus Student Tickets that are reserved for at the door sales were sold to the general public, so when non-season ticket holders showed up at 1 o'clock to buy tickets they got turned around and forced to buy normal tickets that did not insure them a spot in the student section until after the under 16 timeout...

There were no surplus student tickets. They were all sold out on Thursday morning.
They never reserve student tickets for at the door sales. Those are just the remaining unsold/unclaimed ones.

Just going off of what I heard...

You guys are trying to relate this crowd to the sold out crowds of many years ago. You can't do that, at least for now. The crowd was very impressive, especially the student section. We need to keep building on this and with the constant improvement in talent, we should get back to packing the arena.

If we're talking about butts in the seat let's also mention 10,567 for Bedlam yesterday. Quite a weekend for OU hoops!

They upset my stomach all the time. Talk radio today is already talking about KU being down and not us doing well. I can't even imagine listening to the OU hater this afternoon.

I've been at home games where we lost and the Sqawkfans started the Rock Chalk at the end of the game. Not accaptable.

That attendance for the women is ticket sold - not butts in the seats...

See... that's what you get for thinking living in kansas is better than living in Oklahoma... ;)
