Lon said on the franchise that he will finish his career at OU. I know that will bum a lot of you out...

I’m fine with that as long as:

a) next year’s team is an improvement over the previous two years, meaning OU is a legitimate candidate to compete for a conference title and make the dance without being part of a bubble discussion. Mediocrity is not my idea of what OU’s basketball program is about.

b) Lon doesn’t expect to appoint a coach in waiting for his job!

Oh good... Lon is going to ride into the sunset at OU. Has absolutely no further ambitions.

That's a quality we need at OU.

Clown post

Just because he doesn’t want UCLA job, doesn’t mean he’s just chilling collecting checks.

Highly competitive people don’t do that. If you think that, you don’t understand athletics in general.

I'm glad this is Lon's last stop. He just needs to do better before he turns in his whistle for good.

He said this last year on a half hour special on CBSSN. His quote was that he didn’t know how long he would be at OU, but this would be “our last stop.”

no prob...as long as what Ada said....

besides...who wants to live in california...? not me...

That might be the silliest post you've ever made on this board, and I very much hope you never manage to top it.

I’m OK with it as long as he’s successful. I don’t think he will last more than 4-5 years anyway. Then he’ll retire.

If we are lucky enough to make another final four with Lon, he should immediately retire that season.

Ok, I have to admit... I chuckled a little after posting it.

I’m guessing 4 more years assuming we win and he stays healthy
