Got Mulk, your post is correct but I am glad you have Mulk. I would not want her.
I'm not a believer in size giving you and edge down low with the exception of BG which that kind of player doesn't come around often. Talent and positioning can make you a force in the paint, just like Nina who is 5'11"!! She has a knack of always knowing where the ball is and gravitating towards it.
Recruiting is key but more important is being able to coach those talents and get them to believing in the greater good of a "team". You have to be able to corral those players and give them a reality check. Kim knows how to get the best out of her players and that's where Sherri falls behind.

How does it make you feel when the national media condemns your coach for her ethics? Michelle Voepel and the Washington Post did a number on her.To each his/her own........Kim does say and do things that drive me crazy, BUT I do respect her an I'm glad she is at Baylor. What she has done for the program and University is remarkable!!

Let's assume that Kim had lost Sims to an ACL, and Sherri had had Whitney for the past four years. It's tough to lose your leader.
I just knew you couldn't stay away from this thread. That's the key! Point guard! Sims is the best by far and as good as Griner was, Sims was what made them go. Sims alone has taken Hypocrite U where they are this year and made all the others on that team look better. The best teams pretty much have the best PGs, there are exceptions, but in general they do. osu's success is due to Bias, not Donohoe, not Martin, not Suttles. Tech almost beat osu the other day because they had Amber Battle. Johnson, at Hypocrite U is good but they will be a different team next year.

In 2005, you had: 1. a perfect fit of types, and 2. sophia, maybe the best unknown that became known. In 2006, you had three starters back, and OU won all three games. We will be a different team next year without Odyssey just like we were this year without BG. Niya Johnson has grown a lot from last year and even though she doesn't score, she distributes the ball very well leading the conference in assists. These players seem to pick up things fast and have turned a few heads already this season. We will be in top tier of conference next year just wait and see.
In 2005, we had no superstar like BG or Sims and we all know how that season turned out.......NC!!!!!

Niya also leads the nation in assist/turnover ratio. Wright and Small are very fast and good shots from outside or on the move. Together, they may make up for much of the Sims/Robertson combination that BU is losing. All they need is permission from Kim to drive to the basket. Inside, everyone will be back. Add the incoming players, and Baylor will be right in the hunt again. We will be a different team next year without Odyssey just like we were this year without BG. With Kim we will always be near the top, but I do realize that there are better teams with more talent. This season some of those teams have not produced while we have thrived. So really next season I could see 4-5 teams winning the conference. Should be fun!!
Baylor West Virginia Oklahoma and Texas can all win the big 12 next year. Should be fun Just imagine if A&M and Nebraska was still in the big 12. To think we almost got Louisville.
