It seems like most guys who are electing to transfer are declaring right now. When will Beak say something?

Probably a good guess and I hope you are right. This JC point guard deal may be nothing more than Kruger wanting to be 2 deep at every position. When you are a basketball coach over 60, like Kruger, the future is now.

Entirely plausible guess, as the longer you wait, the fewer roster spots there will be open elsewhere as teams fill scholarships... unless you want to play for free of course.

If he wants to play more there are plenty of places he can transfer to start that are significantly better than OU academically. Who could blame him?

He has 2/3 more years to play ball & finish up his undergraduate studies. Make whatever decision is best for you Jelon.

It has been stated by Kruger that no one is transferring. Hale said today that the other guard that was offered was told that the offer could only be used if someone transferred. Probably, all is good.

Doesn't that seem kind of contradicting?

I think the time line of events is LK making a generic comment after our season ended about nobody transferring. Then there are rumors about Hornbeak transferring. Then we offer a JUCO guard, and tell him his offer is only good if somebody transfers.

I'm not saying Hornbeak is gone. We don't know. But there is enough smoke that I'm not ready to say it's 100% he is staying yet either.

I spoke to a team manager... He won't confirm or deny talk of jelon transferring. Maybe he's doing his job 100% right and not talking or forshadowing the future... I didn't get a feel either way

Maybe he just wants to think about it for a while. He won't have a problem finding a landing spot if he decides he wants to transfer after the semester or something, and he has to stay here in school anyway until then anyway.
