Iowa State 80
#22 West Virginia 55
IS shot 51.8%. WV shot 29.7%. Carlton with 31. We swept IS.
That takes WV out of the race.
WV very inconsistent this year.

With Maddie on the bench early in the year, we still won games. I think you have "Maddie" in your eyes. We would be a top half competitive team, with other players stepping up.
BUT....we would not be near as good, same as if we lost Peyton.
She needs to do what is best for her..I would tell her not to come back if it was up to me. No need to risk anymore health problems..the team isn't going anywhere
On OUHOOPS, about an hour ago he said we would not be a top hundred team without Maddie. LOL
West Virginia in Norman
Texas Tech at Lubbock
Texas in Norman
Kansas State at Manhattan
TCU in Fort Worth
Baylor in Norman
Which of these games do you think we will win without Maddie?
West Virginia, Texas Tech, and TCU.
I hope we don't find out which games we can win without Maddie, (or Peyton, or ViVi, or Gabbi). But we would compete with or without any player, and no player has been consistent enough this year to be considered indispensable.
I think we might miss ViVi more than any other single player.
There were several games where she started, and then spent extra time on the bench, I assumed for not being aggressive enough. She played 25 minutes against Oral Roberts, so its not like her playing time was the difference in the game. Playing time vs bench time isn't starting or not starting.
My point is that this is a team game, and even if you lose your sometimes best player and leader, you don't suddenly become chopped meat. We have other players who can lead and win games.

I noticed. And, I stand by it.Correction It was on Soonertimes, not this board.

You are articulate and intelligent, but a better argument doesn't change things. It isn't what one player can do, it is what replacements do, given the chance. I just think its funny that some fans think that one player makes a team (or in this case, unmakes a team).http://www.ncaa.com/rankings/basketball-women/d1/ncaa-womens-basketball-rpi
Let's see.
#89 Iowa State: want to try them without Maddie?
#97 BYU: won by about six with Maddie
#105 Georgia: think we can beat them?
#111 Vanderbilt: want to try it?
#143 TCU: In Fort Worth. Comfortable with this one?
#148 Oral Roberts: lost to them already.
First, Maddie didn't shoot a lot today. But, she did get eleven. We were bad enough on the boards. Maddie had nine. Next highest was Gabbi with five. Want to fight OSU without Maddie?
You don't have anyone on the bench that can replace the fact that she is our team leader in steals, #2 in scoring, #2 in rebounding, #1 in three-point shooting (if you don't count the few shots that TT and LaNesia have put up. She is also our best ball-handler, unless it is Gabbi. They are the two that you want to have the ball late in the game.
I listed our remaining games. Which do you feel that we can win without Maddie? TCU? Maybe. At Tech---really? At Manhattan? Really? Against WV? Really?
There is a reason that the team called her a coach on the floor, and a reason that Sherri says she is our thermostat.
She walked off so it could be just a bad sprain. But it's pretty over if she goes down
We looked great early- looked like we were really building it finally-then Gabbi got going out of control again.... she doesn't understand the players she takes out of the game when she plays too fast and try's to force a bunch of shots. Vivi didn't have a shot til the second quarter-Maddie didn't take a shot IN the second quarter. And Peyton had to force bad shots just trying to get something going. We know you can score a little Gabbi, that's not the point. The point is for you to get others going so that we can function as a team all game long. We play our best when Gabbi is looking for others, and our scorers are Vivi, Peyton, and Maddie. Contributions in scoring will be needed- Gabbi actually got us going but we don't want her taking 15 shots.. Gabbi is not Plum. That's just what it is. She's improving but reverts to old habits, needs to keep working.
Hopefully Maddie is okay.
