The latest basketball scandal made me realize how truly fortunate Trae was to have a father like Ray to protect him from the scum bags out there, who couldn't have cared less about him as a person.
They were far more interested in the money than a young man's welfare and his future as a basketball player. One only has to look as far as the high-profile recruits who are now a subject of an FBI investigation to know what might have happened if Trae didn't have a good head on his shoulders and Ray wasn't around to run interference for him.
