It is standard procedure for a buyout to go down every year. I wonder how significant the drop off is. If that is all that is holding it up, I would expect Marquette to drop the buyout now, so they can start their own coaching search.

what are the legalities of OU knowing the buyout while buzz was coaching?

If this is public information, why were we ever after buzz if we couldnt pay that buy out? There should have never been any buzz speculation if we were never planning on paying the buyout....

I have have NEVER heard Joe C. say Buzz (or anyone else for that matter ) has been pursued.What I have heard is everybody and their brother speculate about a score of different candidates.
