How would you rank them?
Georgia Tech
Arkansas
Utah
OU if it opens up

OU is ahead of Ga Tech. But I don't think OU opens up. Tech would be below Utah.

OU and GT are probably pretty similiar. Given the state of OU's program, I'd have a hard time putting us above them. 5 years ago, I'd probably give OU the slight advantage.

Ark is the best though. Those guys love their hoops.

5 years ago right after gatech went to the title game?

I still think we were a better program at the time. Make it 6 years. Or 4 years. Basically at any point before the last two at OU.

I'm confused by why Ark is #1....do we not have better tradition then them and the rest of these teams?? What has Ark done the last 10 years??

1. they have won the ncaa's
2. they were a major power a couple of times
3. nice venue
4. really good fan support

Better arena? Arkansas.
Better tradition? Arkansas.
More passionate fanbase? Arkansas.
Better conference? Oklahoma.
Better recent history? Oklahoma.

Don't sell Utah short, they have a great following and some pretty solid tradition.

True. They've played for a national championship more recently than either Oklahoma or Arkansas.

Utah has 25 tournament apperances, 16 Sweet Sixteens and 37 conference championships.

I'm not even sure the Big 12 is a better conference. Maybe this year with the SEC West being so down. However, in the 20 years between KU winning their NCAA championships in 88 and 08, the SEC won 5 with Arkansas getting one and both Kentcky and Florida getting two.

The saddest part about it all is that this is probably the worst the Big 12 has been in several years, and we still finished tied for 10th.

this is why im worried about next season

You guys are underestimating GTECH bigtime. Georgia has a really good recruiting base. Plus it's close to other hotbeds of recruiting such as Florida, Alabama, and Miss. G-Tech has always been able to recruit the east coast well especially NYC. I think Tech is the best followed by ARK, OU, and then Utah. OU could easily surpass Ark. in my opinion though.

Utah is also moving to the Pac 10, which will really help them. There's quite a bit of tradition (but few great teams now) in that conference.
