A&M assistant Glynn Cyprien took the podium in place of Bill Kennedy and the Big 12 moderator basically had to prod the reporters several times for questions. "Coach, they let you off easily," he said. Ouch.

Chuck Carlton:

Billy Clyde Gillispie, the Big 12's prodigal son, said he's happy to be back: "I've been the luckiest guy in the world."

Baylor's Scott Drew: when you have a player like Perry Jones III come back, it's a testament to Baylor and college basketball.

Drew gets the Kim Mulkey question on A&M. Less colorful. Says he doesn't see "anything on the horizon" and he'll missing playing the game.

The microphone the reporters are using to ask questions during Frank Martin's press conference was having some trouble working, which drew this comment from Martin:

"Did this happen when Bill Self was up here?"

Frank Martin on juco guard Jeremy Jones. Jones is a kid Capel was making a run at, but I don't think Kruger gave much of a look:
