Big 12 Tourney Roll Call

I'll be down there with a buddy and wife. Wednesday night (unless by some miracle we get the 6th seed.

Hopefully the weather warms UP...lol. Suppose to be in the 50's this weekend and rain...Tues is the furthest out, 70% rain/snow high of 44.

I unfortunately won't be there but FYI - we are locked into the 7th seed. Even if we win Saturday and everyone above us loses, we won't jump up to 6th.

They do a pretty good job in P/L closing off street across Sprint...it'll be packed for sure.

Give yourself plenty of time to experience the stuff going on around the arena. There are plenty of KU hangouts to avoid. Also, you will see tons of ISU fans -- they travel like crazy and make this an annual vacation/trip. A decent number of them stick around even if ISU gets knocked out early.

I have to be in Tulsa for work on Wednesday/Thursday. If we are still alive after Thursday, then I will make the drive up for the Friday session. And yes, the "Power and Light" district is a lot of fun.....certainly recommend this event to anyone who has never been.

Attended every year from 99-17, will miss being up there.

After dealing with terrible KC weather all those years, when it left for Dallas in 03 everyone was loving the Spring temps...of course it was nice in KC that weekend too.

I wish they would give Tulsa a try. The most centrally located for all.

Yep....so far this is what we know in regards to seeding in KC:

Tech and KSU will be 1/2 (but order hasn't been determined).

Iowa State is locked into the 4/5 game....no matter what. We just don't know if they will be the 4 or 5 seed yet. In that 4/5 game, ISU will play the loser of the KU/Baylor game on Saturday. The winner of the KU/Baylor game will be the 3 seed (and play Texas).

Texas is the 6 seed. We are the 7 and TCU is the 8 seed.

There are a couple of scenarios in regards to OSU/WV as the 9/10.....but who cares.

I will be attending my 32nd Big 8/12 tournament next week. Since 1984 I have missed 94, 98, 01 and 12. 2001 I missed because of my nephews wedding. That won’t happen again.

There are so many restaurants that we always ate at that aren’t in KC anymore it’s sad. Gold Buffet, Stephenson’s Apple Farm, Italian Gardens, The Savoy, The original Golden Ox, Lobster Pot and many more. We have some new favorites but what a trip down memory lane.

Stephenson's apple cider and apple fritters were a highlight of my annual family trips to KC as a kid. We'd always hit that place before at least one Royals game. Thanks for the memories!

it seems that after last night .... 3-8 are now locked in
