I think the Savoy reopened but may not be the same - have not been there in years. Where was the original Golden Ox? I think the one still there is still the same place as it has been in a very long time.

The Golden Ox is in the stockyards. They reopened a while back but I’m sure it won’t be same as it was back in the 80’s. We would always go up the day before the tournament started to eat there. Remember Norm Stewart and the Missouri team eating there on the night before the tournament began. Once the tournament started you couldn’t get in the place it was so crowded. The old Savoy had The Presidents booth. Truman would always be seared here while staying at the Muehlebach.
The old Savoy reopened as a 21c boutique hotel. They reopened the restaurant but just as it is with the Ox it’s probably lost it’s old charm.

I haven’t been to the Golden Ox in many years. Used to go there quite often. No idea whether it has changed much but not much to change 
Used to also enjoy The Hereford House when it was downtown (in Crown Center area). I do eat at the one in Leawood occasionally but miss the old building downtown.

Driving home from KC. 1st timer here. Had a blast even though OU was hardly involved.
1. ISU fans are exceptionally nice.
2. They looooove this tournament.
3. KC is a great town. I drank and ate way too much.
4. KU fans are so snobby and pretentious. Their attitude reminds me of OU football fans. HA!
5. Thought the refs were great the whole tourney. KU got some calls but that’s par for the course.
6. Sprint Center is amazing.
7. We gotta start making this event a priority within the program.
