ANA LLANUSA, CHOCTAW
Height: 6-0 Position: Guard Class: Senior The story: Llanusa saved the best for last. She led Choctaw to the Class 6A state championship in her fourth state appearance, this time pulling her team from multiple deficits. An Oklahoma signee, she proved her spot as the state’s top player with nearly 20 points and six rebounds per game.
JO’NAH JOHNSON, EDMOND SANTA FE
Height: 5-8 Position: Guard Class: Senior The story: Regarded as one of the state’s top point guards, she averaged 4.1 assists along with 11.1 points and 3.3 rebounds as she led Santa Fe to the Class 6A state semifinals. Johnson, who has signed with Central Oklahoma, played in four state tournaments and had Santa Fe atop the coaches’ poll all season.
SYDNEY MANNING, DEER CREEK
Height: 5-9 Position: Guard Class: Junior The story: Another veteran of the state tournament, Manning led the Antlers to the Class 6A state title game in just the program’s second year in the largest classification. She averaged just less than 17 points and played through a finger injury that nearly derailed her efficient scoring ability.
JESSI MURCER, WESTMOORE
Height: 5-7 Position: Guard Class: Junior The story: An OU commit, Murcer handled the burden of being the go-to scorer with relative ease. She averaged 22.7 points and had Westmoore in a favorable spot to return to state before suffering a broken bone in her shooting hand in the regular season finale.

Height: 6-0 Position: Guard Class: Junior The story: Perhaps the state’s most athletic player, Skanes was a nightmare for opponents as she averaged 18.4 points and 11 rebounds. She led her team to the state tournament for the first time in more than a decade and in the process caught attention from several Division I college recruiters.
COACH OF THE YEAR RYAN MALONEY, CHOCTAW
The story: After falling in the area championship game, Maloney pushed his team to edge Edmond North in overtime before going on an impressive run to a gold ball for the first time since 1995. Choctaw rallied past conference rival Putnam West, held of Edmond Santa Fe and paid back Deer Creek for the area loss.
