Did anyone else notice that all of the Final Four teams have at least five players 6'8" or taller. Coincidence?

You can run your team through guards, but you definitely need size down low. Who was the best player on the floor during the UCONN/Florida game?

All guard teams will win games in the regular season and get you in the tournament... but you will need legit size, a scoring option, etc in the paint to field a really good team.

Travis Ford clearly does not believe this though.

Bzzz. It was either Napier or Boatright. Those dudes controlled the game on both ends. On D - their ball pressure kept Florida from getting in sets, not to mention they took Wilbeiken (sp) out of the game. On O - their drives made it possible for Daniels to get easy scoring opportunities. Those two put on a show. I don't care what their final numbers look like. If you watched the game you know how big an impact they had.

That is right. When building a team, you must start it with guards. But, you finish it with bigs.

Doesn't matter how good your guards are this late in the tourney if you can't keep the other team from getting 2nd chance points and protecting the rim. That 1-3-1 that Florida through at them was shredded bc Daniels versatility, height, and athleticism. All UCONN had to do was throw it around the rim and let him go get it. Napier and Boatright have been the best backcourt in the tourney but you must have balance.

I just thought it interesting since most teams have trouble finding any bigs. These teams have them up and down their rosters
