After watching the Magic vs. Celtic game. I think Blake will be better than Dwight Howard. What do y'all think?

Probably would be a good idea to see Blake play a game in the NBA, before we say he's better than, arguably, the best center in the NBA.

I wouldn't base Dwight's game on this series. That guy is the best big man out there but having a very up and down series. It will take Blake awhile to even prove he's in the same class but anything is possible since I love how Bgplays the game.

i think blake will be more like an amare stoudemire but with better handles and more aggressiveness on defense. can't wait to see him play.

From what I've seen, Blake's already better and he still hasn't played a game in the NBA (not a knock on Howard; he's a very good player when he's on his game).

Find it hard to believe that Blake is a top 10 player in the league without even playing a game.

:facepalm

offensively blake can be better. I have a very hard time believing blake can match howards defense

Let me qualify. I think the OP was asking if Blake WILL be a better player than Howard. Maybe I didn't state it very well, but what I meant was that I believe he POTENTIALLY already is.

I believe Blake has more talent, more physical ability than DH, especially on the offensive end. Of course, Howard is a great defensive presence, is much more experienced and would almost certainly outperform Blake if they played against each other today. That might not be the case after Blake's been in the league (in good health) for a year.

Wouldn't mind having them both on my team.

Howard also has a 4-5 inch advantage over Griffin in length/reach. Even if Griffin did match his instincts (which IMO he never will), Howard has a physical advantage that would still give him the edge on that end of the floor.

This. With his work ethic, skillset, athleticism and good health, Blake could become a dominant power forward in the NBA, both offensively and defensively.

That being said, Dwight Howard is one of the greatest physical specimens in pro sports. There's probably only 10-20 athletes in the world that can match him pound-for-pound. He's the best shortbloker and rebounder in the NBA without question. That being said, he has yet to develop much as an offensive threat through 6 years and that is where Blake can surpass him with hard work and a little luck.

except amare is the far better shooter and can jump higher

and as for those "he is better than dwight" .... lets hold off before we say blake is better than the 1st team all NBA center and future HOF lock that is a physical freak as big as lebron.

Blake is just an inch shorter than Howard...I don't think Howard is the best big man in the league either.

I think its hysterical that people come after a guy who averaged 20.7 ppg, 20.6 ppg, and 18.3 ppg in the last 3 years of his career. He is a HUGE offensive threat, and is the best shot blocker and rebounder in the NBA.

When you average about 21 ppg I dont care if you can shoot the ball or not, you are a massive offensive threat.

No one has "come after" Dwight Howard. He's a great player – period. However, there's no reason to believe that Blake can't put up as good – or maybe better – offensive numbers at the same point in his career.

It's a dead heat at the charity stripe.

Everywhere else, advantage Dwight Howard.
