GAME 18 - OKLAHOMA (13-4) vs SOUTH CAROLINA (10-7) 3pm CST on ESPNU **POSTGAME added to end ..

Kobe Elvis in conference play:

Bama: 5 ast, 2 TO
A&M: 8 ast, 3 TO
UGA: 5 ast, 0 TO
UT: 0 ast, 1 TO
SC: 2 ast, 4 TO

Averaging 4 ast, 2 TO if my math is correct.

He was leading the SEC in league play in assist % as a starter.
Appreciate that.

Was just pulling the stats off of sports-reference per game and looks like I picked the wrong player?

4.5 AST, 1.5 TOV. Thanks for the correction and double-checking. (3:1 ratio)

Without changing the roster, just the coach, OU should be 3-2 in conference play. That’s a big difference, maybe the difference between making the tourney and not making it.
I am optimistic this team will be very competitive and win more games but what is frustrating to me is it felt like a lack of urgency once conference play started because they went undefeated in the nonconference. This team isn't good enough talent wise to beat quality opponents without max effort and it just felt like they gave away the Texas and Aggie game because they weren't locked in. The Arkansas game will say a lot imo about how the rest of this season goes, I'm expecting this group to fight and play with effort led by Jalon like they did tonight.

No doubt improvement is needed but fears makes the 1-1…. With less than 30 seconds? We won one of those games.
How do you know that? Is a two or three point lead with 25 seconds left insurmountable? We couldn’t guard them the entire second half. We blew a 400-point lead. Let’s not pretend like that free throw is a bigger issue than the complete collapse leading up to it.

Playing the odds. Of course no one knows. Crazy stuff happens.

If these guys win any conference road games, I will be very surprised.

Got home not too long ago and just got caught up watching the game on the DVR. This was supposed to be a “get right” game and we’re struggling with one of the worst teams in the league without one of their best players. I just can’t stand how undisciplined and lazy we are. We should be winning by 20.
Lol

I don’t discredit this. The beginning and end of game coaching cost us the Texas game for sure. Being up 18 against A&M in 2nd half you gotta win. I don’t think the current starting 5 is our best.

I will say that ou being undefeated in the non conference was impressive. Gotta give credit for the 3 quad 1 wins there.

Having Jones and Nwankwo would have helped in sec this year too.

Moser needs to find a way to the ncaa tournament somehow. Lots of games left and plenty to evaluate at the end of the season.

You would fit in great on the on3 board. Just great.

That’s so true. So frustrating to think about.

Tournament hopes are gone but there’s a chance for an atleast respectable season. Can they get to 18 wins? Gotta beat a demoralized Arkansas team.

They’re not making the tournament man. I think we need to just accept that fact. Even with a win, this is still a poorly coached outmatched basketball team in the SEC. I’m very grateful for the fun OOC record but it’s time to get back to reality.

Watched the end of mu / pigs…. At mu will be a very tough have… I wouldn’t bet on a win.

They were 0-18 in conf last yr. 4-1 now 15/3 overall. Same coach
