Brady Manek has committed to OU

Stretch 4. Will continue to add weight. Good shooter. Athletic. Brother is committed to ORU.
 
Looks smooth, under control and plus athlete. Love how quick he gets the jumper up. I like the look of him.
 
I'll probably get ripped for this but...we can do better. 3 years ago this would be one I could understand. Manek is not impressive in any way to me...I've also learned not to question Kruger either though. So I will sit back and watch as Kruger proves me wrong. I just think Kruger has risen OU to heights that he really doesn't need to lower his standards. We shall see.

I'm no scout but he looks like he has solid skills and is athletic. Plenty of time to get some polish. You never know, of course, but if he progresses steadily I see a nice player there.

I get it and I think I can clear it up for those who are confused:

You're wrong and you know you're wrong, but you want to make sure we know you're wrong, so in that in two or three years, when you brag about having been wrong and some of us doubt you, it'll be on record. You can then search for this thread and prove that you that you were, in fact, wrong.

I totally get it.

I like the direction Lon is taking with recruiting. Going to a style that really is conducive to scoring and recruiting.
 
I like the ease in his play. Never seems to get out of control to make a flashy play. Seems to see the court well (the assist he fired in off a catch in the highlight vid comes to mind). He's above the rim off one foot on a few of those dunks, so he could develop some explosion. If he gets strong enough to hold his own against PFs in the post at this level, and/or develops his handle, he could have a niche as a crafty 2-way player in stretch sets. The potential here is great.
