Breakdown of What Needs to be Addressed

Buddy - Great offensive player and even plays solid defense. He has to fix the turnover problems. It was ball handling at times and lazy passes other times. I think he may be getting tired.

Cousins - Stop shooting! Get lay ups and dunks. He gets lost playing defense at times. Reminds me of Westbrook where he tries to help someone else, but leaves his man all alone. Also, careless turnovers just like Buddy.

Spangler - Great muscle type of guy, but his shot is not looking confident. Needs to get easy put backs. And shoot the open three if its there.

Lattin - He is improving fast! His shot looks really good. He needs to stay out of foul trouble. But great Defensive player.

Bench - Do we have a bench? AK needs minutes to get better as does James and Odomes. This team will rely on these guys next year. Why not get them a little time early in the game and it will give the starters a little rest.

Woodard - Very solid, not complaints.

Cousins- If you want to go to the final 4 you need cousins to score, basketball players have slumps. Help defense mistakes happen, but you have to play help def.

Spangler, he's knee is busted up, he played well last night, didnt score much but he can score

Lattin got some crap foul calls last night, espicially his 5th

Bench- Walker came in and did fine, james came in and got a steal right away, Buford came in and didnt screw up, sure Id like them all to score more, but we will ride the horses that are going to take us there...

Woodard- Solid? He's playing like a 1st teamer. More than solid, missed some FT's late

We are the #2 team in the country and all people do is complain.

#1, #3, #8 all lost this week. I won't complain about a win.

Main problems is turnovers-- but turnovers are easily fixed. Buddy just needs to kick it out a few more times and hit the open guy for three.

I disagree about Cousins. I'm fine with him shooting as long as he takes the shots he is capable of making. He can shoot the open mid range well. He just needs to get out of his own head.

Buddy- To be fair I did say Buddy is great and plays really good defense. Just needs to cut back on the turnovers. I think hes a great great player!

Cousins- I suggest he needs to get the easy shots until he gets out of his funk. Take the open ones but don't do a heat check and start 0/3 in the first 5 minutes of the game. He takes shots early in the shot clock that aren't great that he can get at any time he wants. Just needs to look for a better shot

Spangler- I know hes banged up, but I did say he needs to keep shooting the open 3.

Bench - Buford got abused last night. Walker played well. And James just didn't play enough
Woodard - I did say no complaints. Hes been the 2nd best player on the team.

Buddy has got to be better with the ball. PERIOD. I think it's mental as much as anything.

Cousins should shoot when he gets open looks and drive to the basket more. He'll get out of his slump by getting to the FT line.

Lattin should back up a couple steps and shoot a jump shot on his free throws...kind of kidding, but his jumper was a thing of beauty and his free throws...aren't. Love his energy though, and he's improving game by game.

I think a good number of Buddy's turnovers are when he TRIES to kick the ball out on drives. It was really noticeable in the KU game. He just needs to finish when he goes to the basket - make or miss

Trying to look for a silver-lining on the 19 team turnovers at GIA. West Virginia is coming to town with their pressure full-court defense. I bet "taking care of the ball" and "attacking the press" are points of emphasis between now and Saturday.

I think the biggest thing that needs to be fixed is the attitude of fans. A positive attitude creates positive energy that actually impacts performance. This is why home field advantage is real. If we could learn to be more positive, louder, more enthusiastic, etc., it would help.

Coach Kruger and the team will actually take care of all the little things that have been pointed out but they really can't do anything about our attitudes.

The problems I addressed above is jut the things that need to be cleaned up in order to win the National Championship (Which OU has never done). No. I am stating that lots of OU fans have pessimistic attitudes and it would be better if we were more positive. I am not picking on you or anyone specifically.

We have to handle pressure and stop penetration to even think about having a successful run in the Tournament.

I hope we get in a good wide defensive stance against WVU guards Sat ... They can penetrate much better than the Freshman that just torched us.

We could not even deny him the ball. OSU just showed other teams how to beat us.
