Buddy

If he keeps scoring 20ppg he may well be a pro caliber player. I don't think enough good can be said about his great early season performances.

He's a complete beast and his effort is outrageous. Can't believe he and hornbeak and cousins are all sophomores... The future shall be glorious.

Crazy to think of Buddy Love even thinking about leaving early but he looks like that much better of a player already - Thankfully because of his size think we'll see him all 4 years unless he just wants to go which doesn't seem to be the case.

Because of his size? He's 6'4", 208. That's a pretty solid 2 guard size in the NBA, right? They're not all like Lebron.

If he really is 6'4" he'd be fine. Wade is 6'4", Harden is 6'5". That's pretty typical 2 guard size in the league.

Agreed, he's plenty big to play 2 in the NBA. And Lebron is a 3, as an FYI.

Height isn't Hield's problem. I'm not sure he's a next level athlete yet. Maybe he can prove to be. He's definitely had 2 great games to start the year.

Agreed. There's a big difference between getting to the rim against North Texas and getting to the rim in the NBA.

That said, I love just about every single thing he brings to this team. The scoring, the defense, the energy. If he keeps improving and sticks around he will go down as one of the all-time greats.

I'm not going to spend one minute worrying about Hield leaving early. If it does happen, and I think that is very unlikely, it means he did some pretty special things while in an OU jersey.

Sorry should have been more specific, Buddy isn't a huge 2 guard which combined with his current offensive game doesn't really translate to someone leaving early. He isn't a freak athlete like Oladipo.

Honestly every time I see him play he looks like a SF to me, course that's probably just me.

The best thing about Buddy is his WILLINGNESS to defend the entire time he's on the floor. He has a pretty complete offensive game, so that might translate to leaving early, but like is mentioned above, if he leaves early, that means he had a HUGE season in crimson and cream.

I love Buddy. Favorite player on the team going back to last year. But I'm going to wait to call him an NBA caliber player until I see him do this stuff against teams better than North Texas. Luckily with Kansas and OSU on the schedule twice, and possibly Michigan State, I think we're going to get to see him try against high caliber opponents. Should be fun!

im very impressed with Buddy Hield's scoring improvement. last year, he seemed like a guy who did everything but score. Now he is leading us. Great to see him improve so much in one offseason.
