OU could offer to make him the highest paid coach in America and he'd still say no. He has a good contract and can win at Butler and wait for a school like Duke to come calling.

Joe C. should make that offer then and test that theory. Joe should put the full press smoozing on and see if he budges before moving on to the next candidate. I bet no one outside either program thought North Texas had a shot of getting Tubbs in 1988.
