Buzz Williams!!!

Hey guys, I don't ever post (just kind of lurk) but I was just wondering what the chances are that Buzz gives us a look? I've read his name being mentioned, obviously with Gillespie, etc. and this would be sort of intriguing. Is he open to leaving Marquette? Thanks.

Looking at Marquette boards, they seem worried that we will take him.

A few people claiming to have connections have said either that he is interested or he would listen.

We probably wont know until Marquette is eliminated from the tourney. Mostly just local media has been bringing up his name and fans as well

Exactly. All Buzz has to do is look at the last Marquette coach. Tom Crean was doing just fine at Marquette. Winning 20 games and going to the NCAA tourney just like Buzz. But he took the Indiana job, a job that is very similar to the OU job right now, and look at him now.....

Indiana 2011 - 12-20 (3-15) last place in Big 10
Indiana 2010 - 10-21 (4-14) tied for 9th
Indiana 2009 - 6-25 (1-17) last place in Big 10

He's 28-66 at Indiana in 3 years.

Wow I knew Indiana wasn't doing that great but didn't know they were still at that level. I always thought Crean was a pretty good coach and would get them back on track pretty quickly. To be 12-20(3-15) is pretty piss poor in year 3 considering Indiana has a lot of advantages.

The hatred they have for Sampson there must be pretty incredible at this point.

Come on, he is probably making a little less than $1million at Marquette. He is from Texas, went to OCU and is living in Milwaukee.

The facilities at OU are much better. Come on, its Milwaukee. How many Texas/Oklahoma guys would be happy in Milwaukee?
