Maybe not the greatest post after a loss. But how bout the coaching job this season? We are quick to harp on Sherri when things are going wrong, how about some props for doing things right? Who said she can't recruit?????? We have some of the finest players in the country, I think we are contenders THIS SEASON. Let alone, (with Maddie likely to get her Medical), for the next 3 years. Sherri Coale, has gotten the most out of her best this season. Benching Gioya, and Maddie was like chaining up two Pitbulls- Im not sure if this was her intention- But it sure worked out. Gabbi Oritz playing ball like a VET. Thats called, coaching. I will say the stiff competition on this deep roster also brought it out of everybody- I hope all the players know they have contributed greatly, even though that does not come up in the box score. Im proud of Coach though, she's been dealt some tough cards the last couple seasons when Maddie and Whitney went down. The season isn't over, infact coming off a loss, maybe not the greatest post but, the difference is so night & day, and we are a force to reckoned with for year to come. You are appreciated COACH.

^^^^ Agree with every point you made. Sherri is a great coach and whatever problems she's had in the past with recruiting, she's definitely overcome them with her last two classes. And, yes, it looks like there's even more help on the way.

It is interesting that we just played a highly-rated team twice, a team that had a lot of highly-rated recruits, and I thought we were the better team and had the better coach. The players who have the ability to help us rise above are all freshmen and sophomores, and they are beginning to play a lot like juniors and seniors. They just lost a game. Yet, they are still two games ahead of third place in the #1 conference.

Great post!

Get ready to be labeled as a "sunshine pumper"!!! LOL!

Boom.

I only clicked on this thread to see what each letter stood for.leaving disappointed...

If the rest of the season continues in the same vein as the middle part has, I would say this could end up being Sherri's best coaching effort in her tenure.

She's doing things a bit differently. She's got depth and she's got players who give a darn. A far cry from last season.

Nice to see she has kids that are sacrificing themselves for the good of the team, and has kid off the bench she can trust..

Sherri is as and always has been an outstanding basketball coach. She is unique her approach and only recruits players who will fit into her program.

There have been a couple years where we didn't have the firepower to compete at an elite level, and there have been a couple years where her team didn't ever "flip the switch" that so many of her other teams have, but when her teams do buy in, it's really good basketball.
