was at my gym today. I know his family very well and thats how i have connections with him. The point of this this thread though is Cam has improved his game so much from last year, that i think he will be our leading scorer and leader of the team. If he plays like how i think he will. We will once again be back in the NCAA!!

He's definitely the wildcard. We've seen it before with guys struggling as juniors and taking a huge leap forward as seniors. He has it in him.

Improved THAT much in two months?

Not buying it. Besides, Cam has always struck me as a guy that would look good in practice, or pick up games. Much different than a real game, where he can be exploited.

I hope Cam has a nice senior season. But I'd bet cash that he isn't our leading scorer next year.

We saw good jumps in Cade and Crocks' senior seasons. No reason to think/hope Cam can't do the same.

If he expands his game beyond the three point line I could envision him leading us in scoring, otherwise no way.

he was hittig 3s dunking it likr crazy and was playing the post good[/Q

Dunking and post makes sense, in that he is a mismatch on the inside for larger, immobile posts.

But 3s? How does he get free? He can't dribble, or make a move. 3 or 4 bounces and pass is about it on the outside for him. Or has someone helped him find some handles and some capacity for decisions?

I hope you're right about Cam. If he finally has the breakout season we have all been expecting since he was a freshman, he could make a huge contribution to the team's success this fall. He's definitely capable.

Pretty much Kruger is trying to get Cam to play how osby did! he has been showing he has the skills to do it but the real question is if he can live up to it in real games! I think he WILL

I think it would be great if Kruger can get what he needs out of Cam in that role. It would make for a pretty small lineup. That isn't all bad and it would make for a team that would cause a lot of problems for some opponents.

That would leave only 5 guards for 3 positions. That isn't all bad either. It would tighten the rotation and we would likely see less of the wholesale substitution 2 platoon basketball.

I love versatile 'big' men. I think it is one of the easiest ways to create mismatches and force adjustments by the opponent. Do they put a true big on the guy and watch him get blown by or do they go small and watch them get scored on in the post. Hope it comes to fruition.

It sounds like Cam is buying into that role. We need him too! We have had really good success with smaller forwards in the past. As a senior you should know your limitations and play to your strengths. I foresee him having a year somewhere in between what Amath and Ro had last year. Keep working hard Cam!!

That's just it. With Cam, to date, you put a big on him and tell him to force Cam to shoot jumpers. Can Cam beat you with jumpers? Historically, over the course of a season, I'd say no. He was better at times last year, but mechanically-speaking, there is nothing to like about his jumper.

I think you can create those mismatches you like with Cam better in a limited role off the bench. But that may have as much to do with Avial/Bennett and how ready they are, as it will Cam. Let Cam lead that second unit.

That is a neat trick. How did you attribute a quote to me that wasn't mine?

Cam is the highest returning scorer. 2 of his 3 seasons he averaged more than anybody on our roster ever has. He's our highest rated talent. Most explosive athlete.

He's the hope for a good season. When a guy averages almost 10 as a freshman you certainly expect them to get to around 15 as a senior. It's been a strange path due to the coaching change but hopefully he gets there.

I believe he will get there! Buddy will be be right there with him with Hornbeak just a slight bit behind!
