Capel over coach during the games most of Carl's tunovers in games is looking over at Capel to call plays that dont work and Capel slows the game down everytime they get the ball.Capel need to let this team play ball and let them make mistakes and then correct and coach.

So, if the above improves and Carl could stop dribbling off his feet, he may not turn the ball over at all?

Seriously, thanks for the info, chico. Always love when you post because you have some good insights.

Never understood how often Capel tells the guards to slow the ball down. OU struggles in the half court offense, why not push the ball more to take advantage of the defense.

They struggle worse on the defensive team than they do in their half court offense and their bench is short. He's attempting to shorten the game.

They've been all but about 2 games in their last 10 with little experience and talent.

You guys are reaching now.

At times, I actually wish that JC would coach them to play a little faster, since we don't have post men. But, to play fast requires some other things that we don't have, like solid rebounding in the front court. Hard to push the ball off of makes, and when your 2 best transition guys( Cade/Cam) are asked to rebound like big men. You need ball handlers, rebounders, and wings who fill the lanes to run.

With that said, I sometimes think that we can push more in situations.

I agree, but I think he's done a pretty good job letting them go when they actually have something. If he's able to talk to Blair about running a play, I'd say they are already out of "running options"...

Playing faster means more possessions....more possessions means we have to play defense longer.

While it would probably be more enjoyable to watch, it does not play to our advantage.

If OU were to get a new coach to replace Capel who should it be Chico?
