Win or lose against Chaminade, Capel is done after this season. This program is a shell of itself.
I doubt it because there's not enough interest for it to matter.
Until what? Our football program is all that matters. And we didn't fire Bob Stoops after a 5 loss season which we had similar problems of lack of motivation. If OU goes 0 fer in football next season they won't fire Bob Stoops either.something will have to change, attendance will suffer until
If Joe C didn't fire Spates a few years back, I doubt he does anything to Capel. On the other hand, these are the likely to be the 2 worst seasons in 30 years ..... and Jeff is in his 5th year so it's his program and recruits.
This really isn't a surprise. Last year's implosion cost us at least 2 years.
Our wins may be in single digits this year.....
If I were Capel, I'd be so ashamed and embarrassed about how I recruited and coached this last three years; I’d resign and get the heck out of the state.

I would be absolutely stunned if Joe C fires Capel after this season.
The schedule is too easy for it be single digits. Just look at the 5 games we have in Norman that are all wins. And the conference is still week. We can easily beat teams like Tech, Colorado, Iowa State, Nebraska, all games we should win. But this loss was horrible and after a promising start to the tournament we showed no motivation at all.

Lets see, 3 losing season in 5 years. Possible NCAA infractions. Poor/ declining attendance. I cannot see why he would not fire him.
