SoonerSportscom: .@SoonerHoops projected as a 12 seed. “@CBSSports: First Bracket Projection of the season: http://t.co/UHoK9Jlg”
They have us playing Ohio State in the 2nd round

Ohio St a 5 seed, yeah right. I've always thought Palm was terrible

They need to watch more basketball if they think we are making the tournament...

I thought we might be a bubble team early in the season, but not sure we make it now.

This shows they dont watch anything and just look at records... OU is very close to being a really bad record with a weak schedule. team is not any good.

Likely giving OU's RPI way too much credit.

Currently, OU has a RPI of 25 according to ESPN, 25 according to CBS, and 27 according to RealtimeRPI, and SOS of 22, 15, and 14, respectively.

OU has only played 1 team with a RPI of 150+ and that alone is keeping OU's RPI numbers really high.

It's kind of weird that our RPI is so high right now without having played any top 25 teams besides Gonzaga. It's just a matter of some of the bad teams we've played having played high RPI schedules.

I hate RPI. Mizzou has an annual habit of scheduling teams in the 200-300 range, which absolutely kills your RPI. Scheduling patsies in the 75-150 range doesn't really make your schedule any tougher in a practical sense (if you're a top 25 team), but your RPI looks so much better.

Supposedly it's not a factor, but still...

I'm not an RPI fan either, but I think you're off base on your schedule strength. You have a lot better shot dropping one if you're playing SF Austin's and other pretty decent teams from lower conferences than if you're playing 10 Coppin State's (no offense to my man, Fang).

We're also really close to having a really good record.

One shot away from beating Ark.

One free throw away from SFA.

Then we're a one loss team.

Just trying to see the glass half full

As valid a point as any, Sooner-Bred.
