#Sooners up 46-32. Cincinnati, their next opponent, beat Ark-Pine Bluff 101-53. Bearcats playing much, much better since 3 suspensions.

8 days to get ready for these guys. Bet it will be a tough, tough game. Hope our guys work hard and improve.

I don't want to be "that guy", but I would be stunned if we won this one. Cincy just got better via addition by subtraction (suspending the knuckleheads).

They lost to Presbyterian and Marshall at home. They're beatable. Granted, those home losses occurred before the suspensions. I find it hard to believe they are a better team without Gates. But I suppose it is possible.

I have seen bits and pieces of a couple of their games. They were very athletic and aggressive when I watched. They looked pretty good. Frankly, it is hard to understand some of their lossess based upon what I saw.

I think we will have our hands full. Don't know any of their players by name except Yates. They aren't better without him. He was pretty good when I watched.

I bet lon has the kids ready to compete. We have been pretty good at limiting turnovers, getting in our sets offensively, defendings with energy and hitting the boards hard. If we follow this pattern, we'll have a good chance to win.

Sounds like they have rallied around each other and I'm sure that the coaching staff has their full attention at this point. Won't be an easy game, but yeah, we can win it if we don't come out tentative.

They may be a better team without Gates, but losing Gates is HUGE for OU because of our lack of size inside. They've been playing well without him, but I remember watching Cade Davis try to guard Gates last year and I'm glad I dont have to watch Romero or Fitz try this year. He's a monster.

We caught a huge break IMO with Gates being out.

I'll be very, very surprised if we win this game.

Houck:

Cincinnati hit 16 3's tonite, beat Chicago State 95-60 to improve to 9-3 (won 4 straight). #Sooners play in Cincy Thursday at 8 CT (ESPNU).

The heart this team has shown plus being underdog. I like our chances.
