CJ Washington

I think Nick got caught up in the aura of the game. He looked a little star struck to me. CJ Washington will really help our team once his injury gets better. I'm not for putting one over the other because this team will need the contributions of both. BOOMER SOONER BABY!!!

Why do you have to sound so reasonable. :clap

CJ's boy is a cute little guy. I am sure he's very proud!

The difference is Nick is a tip rebounder and CJ is a body position, block out and seal rebounder. CJ's style is going to win over Nick's style everytime.

A lot of knee jerk reaction on NT game. I agree that he was overwhelmed but he is adjusting to D1 too and had the toughest matchup he will see all season. I agree with the earlier poster that said we will need both. None of these guys are finished products by any stretch of the imagination and with continued good attitude and work ethic they will improve their difficiencies.

This!

Let's not throw Nick Thompson under the bus after one bad game. I seem to recall that NT basically won the NC Central game for us with his play in OT.

Otherwise, I agree completely that CJ's role should – and probably will – expand as he gains D1 experience. The kid is very athletic and he really goes after rebounds.

This is hilarious, there was a thread last week about how NT is the best player on the team blah blah blah and now people are saying less NT more CJ. Wow.

Kinda what i was thinking...but o well...

It's like the backup QB scenario...

I cant say whether he should play more or not because he hasnt had extended minutes...but judging from how Capel plays Thompson i would say he trusts him more in the game for extended periods of time...

I see CJ as an energy guy off the bench...

If anyone said this, they are immediately discredited.

Thompson and Washington are going to be interchangeable depending on how they are performing and who we are playing. Wouldn't be surprised if Thompson had a better game today against a team like Virginia.

All I care about is the fact we have another person on the bench that can come in and not be a drastic weakness. I really like this team and even though we may not win many games, they are going to get credited as the team that built OU Bball back up.

It was very refreshing to see a team play with some heart as they did last night.

I agree with the poster that said Washington and Blair should be starters. I was impressed with both of them last night. Sampson made a living with players like Washington.

As other have mentioned, this should certainly not be a Thompson vs Washington battle because Coach Capel is going to need both to play big minutes every night.
