Clarke headed to Butler

Who knows, Clarke may not see as much playing time as he thinks he will at Butler. There was a kid last year coming off the bench that could really knock down the 3s.

Again, something that I do not understand. I read thru the Rotnie thread on a Butler message board a week or so ago. Some of the posters thought they needed a big worse than a guard. Others thought that the two ships for one year wasn't a fair deal. But, the consensus was that he would be a good get and I couldn't find a poster that thought he was not good enough to play at Butler.

It really hurts us not being a real national player at all right now. For most of the 80s, some of the 90s, and 00s we were one of the top teams in the Big 8/12 and we got a lot of good players, had tons of good teams. The last 2 years being so bad really killed us. Even if Capel stayed another year we probably end up winning 10-15 games is that really going to keep him around that long? I think Kruger can turn things around but we won't get top talent till we start winning more again.

Well your boy Capel is now the # 3 assistant at Duke which is appropriate and oh by the way the only place that would touch him. Check the record on Butler. Last 5 years better than us even if you include our Elite 8 because they have had a final four and elite 8 i believe. Amazing what good coaching can do. That is why I stated with Kruger we have a chance again which most people believe to be true.

Last 5 years better than us even if you include our Elite 8 because they have had a final four and elite 8 i believe. Amazing what good coaching can do. That is why I stated with Kruger we have a chance again which most people believe to be true.

at least use a better example man. Butler has been better than almost everybody lately. Use somebody like baylor or A&M, etc.

3) Finally, your original post directly insinuated that Clarke chose Butler over OU because Butler is a better program. There are many more factors that are included in a recruits decision than who is the better program, including playing time, comfort level, etc.

I am hoping that OU will be in the dance as well that year with:

Grooms (SR)
Pledger (SR)
Clark (JR)
Osby/Amath (SR/JR)
Fitz/Arent (SR/SR)

We need to land an impact SG/wing and hopefully a post that can step up in 2013 but I think the pieces look good (on paper) for us to be salty with Lon at the helm.

Honestly, jerry's posts are exclusively about Capel so why don't you just put him on ignore? He adds nothing else to the discussion.

And abd is just trying to get a rise out of folks ("I can play better than Marcus Smart"). Seems to be his new MO (I guess Denver is boring this time of year???).

You are a quality poster so I hope you will post your thoughts and ignore those that bug you on here.

Think of it this way - if more posters like you would post opinions on these threads then the bad apples could be drowned out...

The NCAA just wrapped up an investigation around his staff and player. He recruited nearly our entire roster. We still haven't played a single game under our new head coach.

Glad that you found what I said funny enough to include your usual condescending...LOL. Anyway, SOONERFAN TU, you and I have never agreed upon much, other than we both loved KS. In fact, I have loved every coach at my alma mater, because I love everything Sooner. But that is just me. You can talk about Capel until your heart skips a beat dude. Whatever keeps your personal boat afloat.

It just becomes immature and nerve racking when someone clicks on a thread, totally unrelated to Capel, and the same 2 or 3 posters find a way to inject their Jc hatred into it. I know that suits your agenda, so have at it!!! I have never needed you or any of the other so-called hoops experts approval for anything that I do.
