Cliff Alexander inelligible

Sometimes it is, in part, the school's part, yes. Any time a grade is fudged, a test score is rounded up, or a behavioral problem is overlooked in order to keep an athlete eligible and active, it is, in part, the school's part and they are ding the young athlete no favors in the long run.

Very true. And it's not just the schools it's anyone in the community who lets athletes get a pass for their behavior. I think there is a connection between all the stories about high school and college athletes getting free passes and college and professional athletes getting themselves into trouble.

What pisses me off is Buford is a victim compared to this... NCAA wouldn't let him practice over 1-2 classes being "real"...bc ncaa didnt like the course description (current issues, history.. Etc) Made him redshirt even after passing summer courses easily.
I hope they hammer them.

I'm all for punishment, but what has KU done wrong? NCAA is looking into an issue, rest is just a bunch of assumptions.

Agree, If you don't pass you should not play. Nothing will get a parents attention quicker that a message saying "you child is inelligible". I know it is tough our oldest is 14 and trying to get her to pay attention in science has been a real challenge. Also don't give the kids a pass. If you want to play do the work. I have had that talk with her also. I had to take a bunch of classes I did not like/want over the years. That is just the way it it. As for Kansas if this turns out to be true then they should suffer the penalty that any other program would have for playing someone who should not have been enrolled in the first place. Just the way it is.
