Commit Goldwire article

I like these quotes!!

“I just saw how energetic and passionate he was about the game of basketball,” he said. “That drew me to him and just how much he lives it everyday. He wakes up with a bunch of excitement. He has a good vision for me, so the relationship we’ve built in this short time is honestly great.”
Goldwire joins Eastern Washington forwards Tanner and Jacob Groves as the latest transfer to commit to the Sooners.
“We’ve got a good team and I’m excited to be a part of that group,” Goldwire said. “We’re still adding some new pieces. This team’s not totally done, so I’m excited right now. ”

absolutely

I’m surprised no one has mentioned that Goldwire is our second recruit from Norcross, Georgia. Tony Neysmith played at OU for one season in 2007-08 before he transferred to Auburn.

Goldwire may not light up the scoreboard, but he’s exactly what we need to run our offense next season while our two freshmen make an adjustment to the speed and physicality of the college game.

Goldwire is a slick passer and a terrific on ball defender. I’m also convinced he can score if that’s what the team needs him to do. Watch a couple of several highlight videos available online and you’ll see what I mean.

I think the thing I like most about Goldwire is that he's not 6'0" or under. I loved Woodard and Harmon, but happy to see a taller PG on the roster.

Harmon is 6'2" just like Goldwore. Woodard was prob closer to 5'11".
