The players on top of each row are from last years starting team...the players directly below are from this years team: Offensive statistics:

---------- --- FG% 3pt% ft% rpg ppg
1) Johnson -- .423, .346, .781, 3, 8.6
1) TMG -- . 392, .436, .737, 3.2, 10.1

2) warren -- .473, .372, .781, 2.2, 14.6
2) WW -- .437, .250, .831, 3.1, 18

3) crocker -- .394, .349, .772, 3.2, 9.6
3) Cade -- .365, .352, .857, 3, 8.8

4) t griffin -- .536, . 357, .700, 5.8, 9.6
4) Crocker -- .491, .460, .732, 7.5, 14.5

5) b griffin -- .654 .375 .590 14.4 22.7
5) Gallon -- .593, .500, .707, 9, 11.6

By those offensive statistics I would choose the lineup below:

1) TMG
2) WW of this year
3) Crocker of last year
4) crocker of this year
5) B griffin of last year

As you can see I would rather have 3 out of the 5 players off this years roster...I mean overall we should have a better offensive attack...and having a good offensive attack should be good enough to beat alot of these preseason teams but for some reason it is not...I do not know what the problem is...my fear is capel does not know how to coach without having a "go to" guy....warren is no were near a go to guy at the moment....If this is true about capel not being able to coach without having someone to bail you out, we may be in for a bad few years

I would rather have Taylor Griffin, dont care about the offense Tony could provide at the 4 give me Taylor's heart and size.

the point is is that we should have enough offensive firepower to outscore a couple of the teams we have losted to but we cannot figure out how to get it done

1.The other teams defend, we don't.
2.The other teams have twice the post depth that we have.

When you are letting the other team shot over 55% (and 60% from three) it is hard to do that. Got to have some form of defense.

prior to the first texas game they only had one more post player than us...we havfe one in gallon and they had two in the griffin brothers...yet their record was still stellar

Only thing is we had two NBA players in the post that were both so well conditioned the could go 35+ when needed.

I agree with this. Even with Taylor at 6'7 and extremely strong upper body, other Big12 team was able to exploit him offensively. How can Crocker able to defend at the 4?

What do you get when you compare the non-starting 5?

It's night and day.
