You don't have to "buy it." Given the nature of my work, my boss would know if I was ripping him off in that way. Appreciate your concern though.

Let me help him out. I have never been convicted of a crime. There was that one assault charge against a current state representative. But, I beat that one and my record remained clean. I have perfect credit. My kids like me and respect me.

I have three ex wives. For the most part, they don't have much use for me. The feeling is mutual. Anything that is a matter of public record wouldn't embarrass me at all. WT claims to have a mutual aquaintance that has the dirt on me. I encouraged him to go ahead and post anything of a personal nature about me that he choses. However, a prudent man would make themselves aware of how liable and slander laws might apply.

WT, based on my experiences with him and factoring in the current episode, is, well, I guess I shouldn't say.

Assault without the battery isn't much of a big deal. I just talked to him like the mutt that he is in front of his wife. He was embarrassed and got his feelings hurt. The only thing he was big boy enough to do was call the cops.

I got the Pledger/Fitz treatment from the cop. I got a ticket and a court date to answer to a municipal charge. My lawyer is well connected and a clever boy. The charge was later dismissed without further ado.

There is a bit of a back story and I was of the opinion that he was a weasel of the highest order. If I were to run into him, I may or may not do it all over again.

One of my last posts a while back was a stupid rant in which I called Gary a troll. I always enjoy Gary's practice reports and last year it was actual insider reports seen through his eyes. However, on that particular day I was coming down off some bad news in the family and kinda took it out on Gary. My thinking was stirring a pot on a message board with any motives outside of the thread discussion was kinda trollish. I later PM'd him and apologized. I felt a little bad about it because that just isn't polite and I do think this board is better with him on it.
WT posts are fine with me as well. I do have a few on the ignore list but that is due to the fact that their posts are always predictable and repetitive. WT and some others throw out stats and whatever kenpom (?) is and that is interesting because I would never look for those on my own. SoonerNorm and a few others keep me clued in on whom OU is recruiting. Again, not really interesting enough to me to hunt for on my own but I enjoy the updates. I can see Gary's point to an extent though. I have read posts where people use post count or join dates as some kind lame rebuttal of another's post. Thats just douchey. However, WT and Skyview have never come across that way to me. Anyway, you two have been carrying the board the last few days during the slow summer days so at least we have something new to read every day.

Holy crap! I take a few days off and return to the message board equivalent of the Hatfield and McCoy feud. The only thing left is a full declaration of war, with muskets firing and bodies being riddled by bullets.

Seriously, guys? Do you hate each other that much? You're both great posters with a lot to offer. Why not bury the hatchet and get back to talking about basketball? This needs to stop! Trust me when I say that nothing good can possibly be accomplished if you continue down the road you're on now.

Please, for the good of the board, end this here!

Ada, this is for you and Sam both. It is pretty easy to sit on the lofty perch and take pot shots at some one else's behavior. Sam is especially adept at that.

This isn't my message board or WT's message board or any other poster's message board. Those with the tagline of Administrator, it is your message board and your responsibility. My suggestion would be for your group to take ownership and take responsibility.

This flare up isn't a new deal. It is a 2 yr old deal. You may or may not agree with my perception of events. That doesn't matter. They are my perceptions and that is all I have to work with.

It is my perception and my opinion that I was treaty poorly by a small handful of message board heavy heads when I first started. The name calling and mean spirited personal insults, to me, seemed to be in violation of your own posted rules. I can be a bit of an a**hole and content to fight my own battles without the aid of the referees and no matter the rules.

If you guys want to step in now and start refereeing, fine, that is your job. My suggestion would be that those that are suppose to be referees do their job from the opening whistle. Applying your own posted rules evenly and fairly to everyone every time is the solution to this problem. How can me or even WT know where the line is if that line is always a moving target.

I have harped on this before and none of your group seem to want to address it. You guys have the numbers and you know this. During the season upwards to 1000 people log on to this site on a typical day. Only a small percentage of those people every participate. Have you ever asked yourself why?

I have given you the answer. They don't want to expose themselves to the abuse of a few. You have a group that seems to take pride in running people off the message board. I'm pretty hard to run off and I'll just respond in kind. Most people aren't like that. They just keep quite.

If you two perceive your job to drop in, to scold, finger point, and re-stripe the behavior line, I applaud you. You are doing a great job. My suggestion would be that you take control of the message board, insist on the behaviors that grow the board and make it a better place for all that want to participate.

In the words of Dennis Miller, "that is just my opinion, I could be wrong".

Yea, really. My point is that it is obvious that the behaviors on this board are the behaviors that the administrators want. It is obvious because that is how they call the game. It seems a little odd that they would then drop in and scold some one for their behaviors.

It takes an elbow to the head caught on camera for one of them to blow the whistle. It is too late by then. The damage has already been done. It is out of control.

It is my opinion that if they want improved behaviors, call the game tighter and evenly.

It is also my opinion that if they did that, it would grow participation.

It is also my opinion that I took some hard fouls that weren't called early on. My response, fair or not, mature or not, reasoned or not, was to foul back harder and more often. Those fouls weren't called either. Then it was tit for tat from that point forward.

In retrospect, my position is that if they had called all of the fouls evenly and fairly from the start, we wouldn't be at this point now.

They have posted rules of behavior. I didn't right them. They did. Either they don't enforce them or they enforce them unevenly. When they do that, they forfeit the right to complain about the results.

I'm trying to encourage them to enforce their rules evenly and fairly all the time.

Is there something about all this that you have an issue with?
