Crow

This is something that really bothers me, both side want to desperately be right for whatever reasons (approval, gratification, whatever). Whenever we do lose (trust me it will happen at some point, rather Cincy, random sister of the poor or Big 12 play, we're not that 76 Hoosiers) there will be a thread from us/them (depends on your perspective) further throwing gasoline on the fire. Then vice versa on the wins.

Rinse and repeat and that is how I believe this board is going to end up being. There are "radicals" on both sides who will hold steadfast to their beliefs all season long unless a major change is introduced into the argument. (i.e. OU losing 16 more games or so this year or OU going 8-8 in conference). Even then I'm not sure if some will stop beating the dead horse argument because in some way/shape they will be right.

I feel stuck in the middle because I see both sides of the argument, as I really have some questions and doubts about Capel as a major division one head coach. On the flip side I'm such a fan that usually around 2 hours or so before tip I start getting excited and I believe that no matter who we play we will find a way to win. Then "live and die" with every shot, every turnover, every loose ball. Then be dang proud when the team scratches tooth and nail and pulls off a couple upsets in conference.

/sleep deprived rant over

I have been critical of capel haters... But I completely agree. We arent going to win/lose every game. With as much turnover as we have had, its going to take some time for these guys to play together.

I'm here to eat some crow on Blair. Serve it up.

No reason to serve crow to you, because you are here the day of/after a win. That means you are happy we won and that makes you a sooner fan in my book.

It is nice to see the kid finally playing well. Not only that, but he is inspiring some of our other guys to run the floor, like Cam Clark and Stephen Pledger. I noticed during the game when they got stops the three of them were trying to get Cade to push the ball too. This team needs all the easy baskets they can get.

I know Billy was happy to see them push the ball after stops!

we beat web and oru lol come on.

Would you agree, it's one thing to beat NCCentral in OT and look like crap and its another thing to have back to back double digit wins in which we showed improvement?

As long as we keep on winning, there is no "them", and that's ok with me.

It's true. But it is nice on this board after wins when the "them people" don't show up and fill this board with negative threads.

My plate was full, now string a few more well coached games together!!Go Sooners!

If we end up with a winning record this year that's when you can tell people to eat crow. If we win 10-14 games or something like that, nobody is eating crow.

Not eating crow yet, ORU is not that good of a team and it was at home. I hope I am wrong about Capel but for over a year there has been more bad than good.

Are we going to have a thread like this after every single game we win this season? Signs point to yes.

Looks like it...

It was a good win, but keep in mind that ORU team is 4-5. Its not a time for eating crow or anything. They have some talent at ORU though, I still dont know why they are so bad.

I'd welcome crow eating myself for OU success.

Crow is disgusting, and I will not eat it, figuratively or otherwise.

Us and Them is an awesome Pink Floyd song.
"Up and down. But in the end it's only round and round. Haven't you heard it's a battle of words the poster bearer cried. Listen son, said the man with the gun, there's room for you inside."
