Welcome to the board ScottyExpress!
Yeah, I noticed that when I visited. I would've registered and exchanged pleasantries with your board, but due to their exclusion of Yahoo-type emails, wasn't able to.
I think both fanbases probably agree that Dayton probably was under-seeded, but come on, griping about the fact that you had to play the play-in game on your home court, where you are 16-0 on the year? And barely escaping Boise State, at that?
All Sooner fans realize that home court advantage can be HUGE: we still have a painful memory of 1988, when we beat Kansas twice in the regular season, then had to do it again in Kemper Arena, aka Phog Allen Fieldhouse North. Oh, yeah, we lost the National Championship due to having to play AND beat a team for the 3rd time on essentially their homecourt.
Also, many Sooner fans long for home-field/court advantage, but rarely if ever are we the recipient of such good fortune, so probably a bit of envy.
OK, rant over, you seem like a rational, likeable fellow, just explaining why I feel the way that I do about having to play a very good Dayton team today with a decided advantage.
We've got it to do, though, fair or unfair.
Good to have you on the board.
BOOMER!
Dayton BB fans have a rather large chip on our shoulders.
